BREAKING NEWS: Robert Rinder DEFENDS co-star Kate Garraway on Good Morning Britain after CRITICISM from Jonathan Ross on Celebrity Traitors

Good Morning Britain host Robert Rinder was quick to throw his support behind his co-star Kate Garraway after she was issued an insult from Jonathan Ross.
During the latest tense episode of the Celebrity Traitors, the famous faces were tasked with labelling their fellow players in a series of scathing categories as part of a mini-game to raise more cash funds for the prize pot.
Split into two teams, the celebrities had to debate who they thought the Traitors would have selected for categories including the ‘weakest’ and ‘most two-faced’ team member in a giant game of chess.
Kate, 58, found herself in the firing line when both the teams settled on her for the ‘weakest’ category – but Jonathan, 63, didn’t hold back in explaining his reasoning.
When asked by host Claudia Winkleman why they selected the Good Morning Britain star, team leader, and Traitor, Alan Carr said: ‘She doesn’t come up with many names [at the roundtable], we think that’s quite weak because we need to get the Traitors.’
But chat show host Jonathan hit out: ‘She’s physically weak, intellectually weak, and just generally weak in every other way.’

Looking downcast and attempting to shrug off the comment, Kate responded: ‘The real problem Claudia is that I agree – I agree.’
But as Kate and co-star Rob, 47, took to their ITV show on Friday morning, the former telly judge was having none of it, and stepped in to defend Kate.
Seething, Rob said: ‘Jonathan Ross described you as, “physically weak, intellectually weak”, watching it on the telly, I like Jonathan Ross, he’s a great man, but I did want to do mild violence to him.’
Last night’s episode of Celebrity Traitors saw three more Faithful stars sent packing from Ardross Castle, and the Traitors survived another round of the game.
Actor Mark Bonnar was banished after the roundtable on Wednesday night’s episode, which saw him tie with historian David Olusoga and their fate ‘decided by chance’.
The trio of Traitors, chat show host Jonathan, comedian Alan, 49, and singer Cat Burns, then killed off comedian Joe Wilkinson.
It meant that at the following roundtable, the finger was pointed at Sir Stephen Fry, who was voted out of the show by his fellow celebrities.
Never before have so many Faithful players exited the castle without finding a Traitor.

The latest episode of the BBC One series saw Stephen Fry voted off as he was banished
Speaking after his exit, Mark, 56, shared his disappointment at being banished through the never-before-seen Chest Of Chance.
He said: ‘I’m really glad David’s a Faithful and I really hope he doesn’t go. I think he’s a real asset to them and I hope suspicions about him disappear very quickly. That I can’t see happening though.
‘Having that roundtable decided by the Chest of Chance was very dramatic and it was very emotional. I got so caught up in it all, but I hope it was a good TV moment. Even though I was sad to go, I thought, well, they’ve never done that before!’
Reflecting on his stint as a faithful, he added: ‘I would have played it slightly differently with hindsight; not being quite so involved, not being quite so enthusiastic, wide eyed and forthcoming with theories.
‘Claudia said, “you know, remember, keep your eyes open at all times,” or something like that.
‘I was certainly doing that in observing everyone, not sure I was subtle enough about that which possibly put a massive target on my back!’
As he was greeted with the dreaded letter of death, Joe said: ‘I sort of expected it because I was quite lippy last night. But I have a message for The Traitors, what’s the turret like?’
Reflecting on his time on Celebrity Traitors, Joe, 50, simply said: ‘Yeah, it was great. Only downside was I didn’t see the turret.’

Comedian Joe Wilkinson was killed off by the Traitors in the tense episode
Asked whether he’s learned anything about himself on the show, the comedian simply replied: ‘Absolutely nothing.’
Strident faithful Joe Marler went to war with Jonathan Ross at the fifth banishment ceremony, as the rugby star accused the chat show host of being a traitor.
After days of making the case for his ‘big dog theory’, that either Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross were leaders of the faithful and traitors, he turned on the ITV presenter.
Joe declared: ‘I’m trying to find a traitor’ at the roundtable as he eyed down Jonathan.
Jonathan asked: ‘So you think it’s me? Looking at me like that., to which Joe replied: ‘I’m trying to find a traitor.’
Before Jonathan fired back: ‘We are all trying to find a traitor, Joe,’ but then the former rugby prop snarled: ‘We’re not all trying to find a traitor, are we?’
Joe methodically laid out his charge against Jonathan, arguing that his suspicions had been aroused when Ruth Codd had been murdered after she had accused Jonathan of being a traitor.
‘Someone as clever as you would use that as a double bluff,’ he told him.
When Joe revealed that he had voted for Jonathan for banishment, the TV star brutally told him: ‘I don’t like you anymore.’

Actor Mark Bonnar waved goodbye to the series after a tense roundtable saw him draw with David at the roundtable
Kate Garraway voted for Nick Mohammad, Stephen Fry voted for David Olusoga, Joe Marler and Lucy Beamont voted for Jonathan Ross, Celia Imrie and Alan Carr voted for Joe Marler.
But with four players – Jonathan Ross, David Olusoga, Nick Mohammad, and Cat Burns – convinced that Stephen Fry was a Traitor he was booted from the castle to the amazement of the faithful.
Reflecting on his stint as a faithful on the show, he said: ‘If I were a Traitor, I don’t think I could have taken the pressure that is coming now.
‘I probably would have enjoyed what they’re enjoying now, the chuckling, cackling, glee of triumph. But you can’t help it emotionally if people conspire against you.
‘Even if it’s for a game, you start to have feelings of enmity towards them. When Tom [Daley] was murdered, I couldn’t believe it.
‘Because he was so enthusiastic, he wanted to stay longer, that was his problem.
‘Tom was hypervigilant, and everyone noticed that. Perhaps he should have just maybe invented a daffy kind of persona for the sake of survival.’
