BREAKING ROYALS BOMBSHELL: GB News Abruptly Halts Show for Major Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor ANNOUNCEMENT

GB News came to a sudden halt as the programme issued a breaking announcement on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Presenters Tom Harwood and Olivia Utley revealed Andrew, 65, is unlikely to receive any compensation for giving up his Royal Lodge home due to the repairs that will be needed to the 30-room mansion. The duo was joined by royal correspondent Cameron Walker, who highlighted that one reason Andrew has been forced to leave Royal Lodge is because he has been paying “peppercorn rent” to reside in the mansion, which is ultimately owned by the British taxpayer through the Crown Estate.
Cameron explained that people were questioning whether it was fair that Andrew was able to live almost rent-free when he is a non-working member of the royal family. He continued: “The Public Accounts Committee, a group of MPs responsible for holding public finances to account, wrote to the Crown Estate asking them to justify what’s kind of going on here, and that response has been published in the last few minutes.”

The GB News host acknowledged that the report didn’t go into “great detail” in justifying why Andrew was able to pay peppercorn rent, but it did confirm that he will not be entitled to compensation due to the repairs needed at Royal Lodge.
He said: “Because Andrew has terminated the lease early, there was a question mark whether he would be entitled to £488,342 for ending that tenancy agreement early, which he gave notice on the 30th October this year.
“They say, in all likelihood, because of the repairs required if he does move out, he will not be entitled to compensation. In other words, money from the Crown Estate, indirectly to some extent, taxpayers’ money, will not be funding Andrew in any kind of compensation.”
The letter written by politicians on the Public Accounts Committee, asks the Crown Estate to answer a list of 14 questions, which includes whether the taxpayer is getting the best value for money from the current occupant of Royal Lodge, given that he is “no longer serving as a working member of the Royal Family or using their Royal titles, excepting that of Prince”.

It comes after Andrew was stripped of all his remaining royal titles by King Charles. He was stripped of his Knight of the Garter honour – the oldest and most prestigious order of chivalry in Britain, which he received from the late Queen in 2006.
He was also deprived of his Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, the highest order of knighthood in the UK.
Earlier this month, Andrew voluntarily relinquished the use of his Duke of York title after new revelations about his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein came to light.
