Strictly Come Dancing star Vicky Pattison has taken to social media with a touching farewell message ahead of the busy months on the star-studded BBC competition series. The reality star is anticipating a hectic autumn and possibly winter, depending on her performance on the dance floor. Vicky is among the 15 famous faces preparing to face the judges when the beloved competition returns for its 23rd series this month.
During the August 14 episode of ITV’s This Morning, Vicky was revealed as the 11th celebrity participant joining Strictly 2025. The official launch is scheduled to be pre-recorded ahead of its September 20 broadcast. Taking to Instagram, the former Geordie Shore star reflected on her jam-packed summer activities, before the sequins and sparkle takes centre stage. She posted a collection of photographs that featured a Disneyland adventure with spouse Ercan Ramadan, her work commitments at Heart Radio and co-hosting her podcast alongside Angela Scanlon.
The star was also captured enjoying the sunshine – and entertainment – during additional overseas getaways, whilst spending precious moments with her beloved dogs – Max and Milo.
Accompanying the post, Vicky wrote: “The nip in the air, those darker nights drawing in, Halloween decor in the shops… Autumn is well and truly on the way…
“So I wanted to say goodbye to one of my favourite ever summers… my first one as a married women and definitely one to remember. It was filled with all of my favourite people, some amazing trips, incredible jobs fluffy butts and moments I’ll never forget!”.
“I’m going into September so SO grateful for the last couple of months.. but mostly, I’m just grateful for the special people I have around me… I don’t know what I’d do without them.”
The comments were inundated with messages of support, as thousands of fans eagerly anticipated her Strictly debut, one penned: “Love this!! dark nights coming in means strictly season. Can’t wait to watch you.”

Another excited fan exclaimed: “It’s Strictly szn!!, while a fifth posted: “Can’t wait for Strictly. Literally the whole country will be rooting for you.” As one excited fan added: “Roll on Strictly.”
When her appearance was confirmed, Vicky announced: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing lineup… but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified,”
“I am not a natural dancer! However, it’s such an amazing opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and to challenge myself in a completely new way, and I just really hope I don’t make too much of a fool of myself,” she said on This Morning.
Vicky will join Gladiators star Nitro aka Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Love Island star Dani Dyer, Doctor Who legend Alex Kingston, former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who were the first stars announced.
They were followed by EastEnders icon Balvinder Sopal, YouTuber George Clarke, Drag Queen La Voix, former rugby player Chris Robshaw and model Ellie Goldstein.
