BREAKINGNEWS ITV I’m a Celebrity QUITTER who lasted just three days ‘On The Verge’ of joining All Stars
Two iconic TV personalities are reportedly on the brink of sealing a deal for the All Stars edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp and TOWIE icon Gemma Collins, both previous contestants on the ITV hit show, are rumoured to be making a sensational return.
Harry, aged 78, triumphed in the 2018 series Down Under, outlasting celebrities like Emily Atack and John Barrowman to be crowned King of the Jungle.
Meanwhile, Gemma Collins, famed for her Diva Forever series, had a brief stint in the 2014 series, but she exited the jungle after just three days.
Reports now suggest that Harry could pocket a substantial fee if he participated in the upcoming South African All Stars series, which is expected to commence filming this autumn, reports the Mirror.
His potential earnings could even rival the whopping £1.5million fees that Coleen Rooney and Nigel Farage were rumoured to have received. Meanwhile, bosses are said to have offered £150,000 to Gemma for her to take part in the competition.
A source disclosed to The Sun: “It’s going to be a real coup. Harry is TV gold and was first on the list of wannabe celebrity contestants.”
Reach has gone for comment from the representatives of both Gemma and Harry.
The news comes after Harry previously quipped about not joining the star-studded cast of the first series of All Stars during a chat with Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard on Good Morning Britain.
Harry joined Kate and Ben to chat about a celebrity football match he was managing, but the hosts couldn’t help but probe him about his absence from the series.
“I was quite surprised you didn’t get a phone call for the I’m a Celebrity All-Stars, did you ever fancy going back?” Kate said.
“No, I didn’t get the phone call, Kate. I don’t know, maybe they lost my number. No, it didn’t happen, but I think once is, ‘You’ve done it,’ once was enough,” Harry responded.
“It was a great experience, but I really am not desperate to get back in again.”
In a separate revelation, Gemma disclosed the true reason behind her early departure from the show after just three days in the jungle.
“My time was short in the jungle, and not many people know that I was robbed and physically attacked 24 hours before leaving for Australia,” she explained.
“I didn’t want to let anyone down, so I still went in. However, I was in a terrible state and shock, as you can imagine and couldn’t see it through.
“I took lots of stick over it, but if you was robbed and attacked and then sent into the jungle, I’m sure you would have struggled too. I would never let anyone destroy my dreams again.”
