The mood is not great among Detroit Lions fans right now, but some have it worse than others.
The Motor City went into the weekend bearing some optimism, with a chance for a return to the NFC title game and possibly reach the Super Bowl there for the taking. But the party was spoiled by a stubborn Washington Commanders team, who pulled off a stunning upset to book the trip for themselves instead.
While the unthinkable was happening, a group of Lions fans found themselves engaged in a wild brawl in the stands. One fan was seed getting stomped into the stairs while lying on the ground and then holding his face after things cleared up.
There were suggestions that he had been verbally abusive toward a female(s).
“Moral of the story, DON’T come to Detroit and disrespect women,” the account sharing the clip captioned it.
Detroit Lions Fan Didn’t Receive Any Sympathy From The Crowd
Based on what was being said by some of the fans in the stands, the grounded victim was attacked because of something he said to offend women.
As for the Lions, they will rue all the injuries to their defensive unit, including the loss of cornerback Amik Robertson early in the game. It’s back to the drawing board for Dan Campbell, who is likely to be in the market for new coordinators, given the interest in the ones currently working under him.
