Coronation Street is set to air more drama for the Websters as Abi and Carl’s public showdown leaves Kevin shocked.
This Friday sees the introduction of Kevin and Debbie’s younger brother Carl (Jonathan Howard), who will be making his on-screen debut after being mentioned in scenes over the years.
Viewers won’t be the only ones meeting Carl for the the first time, as the character will soon come face-to-face his sister-in-law Abi.
Abi visits Freshco to pick up anti-sickness medication for Kevin when Carl attempts to steal her parking space, causing damage to her car. Unaware of who he is, Abi immediately berates Carl for being selfish.

As the argument escalates, Abi punches Carl in the face but quickly regrets her actions and helps fix his car when it doesn’t start. Carl begins to flirt with Abi and invites her out for a drink.
At the Bistro, Abi tells Kevin, Debbie and Ronnie about the row she had with the other driver, but keeps quiet about the attraction between them. However, when she returns from the toilets, she finds Carl chatting to his siblings and discovers his identity.
Next week, Abi struggles being under the same roof as Carl following his sudden arrival, and feels awkward about their heated first meeting.

She tells him to make himself scarce so she can have some time alone with Kevin after his chemo session. Carl heads out, but promises Kevin he will be back to take him to chemo.
Later, Abi calls Kevin but is furious when Carl answers and says they are in The Rovers. She storms into the pub and accuses Carl of ruining her afternoon with Kevin.
Shocked Kevin demands to know what is going on and why they’re fighting, but will Carl reveal the truth?
