Conor McGregor and Jake Paul were both in attendance for Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, and the pair were forced to share an awkward meeting

Conor McGregor and Jake Paul bumped into each other in quite the precarious situation on Monday, momentarily shelving their ongoing online spat during Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The two fighters, well-known for their heated exchanges over social media, including Paul’s jibe calling McGregor an ‘Irish c—‘, have been teased to face off in the ring, yet it now seems more likely that McGregor may throw down with Jake’s elder sibling, Logan.
Both McGregor and the Paul brothers were in Washington to witness the swearing-in of Trump as the 47th President, and fate would have it, they all wound up on the same bus heading to the ceremony.
Captured by ‘The Nelk Boys,’ the video showcases the Pauls comfortably seated a row ahead of the UFC icon McGregor, who found himself beside the YouTubers’ mother. The clip reveals Jake and Logan eagerly taking selfies, while a seemingly amused McGregor chuckles from behind.
Jake shared his picture on his X account, quipping: “Inauguration going great”, and Logan took to his own snapshot, captioning it: “Major plot twist.” Neither brother has ever held back on their contempt for McGregor, particularly Jake, who also harbors a grudge against UFC chief Dana White.
Subsequently, the trio got together for another photo, all smiles this time, with Jake’s promotional handle ‘Most Valuable Promotions’ posting the picture with the jest “the worst day of Dillon Danis’s life” poking fun at McGregor’s past sparring buddy Dillon Danis, who has had his own feud with the brothers and was defeated rather embarrassingly by Logan in a boxing match.
Paul has repeatedly targeted White in the past, criticizing him for underpaying fighters and promising to continue battling his former fighters while offering them more money than they earned in the octagon. Monday could potentially create an uncomfortable situation, as White is also expected to attend due to his close relationship with the incoming President.
White recently dismissed rumors that McGregor and Logan might face off this summer in an exhibition boxing match in India. Reports have connected the duo with a lucrative event designed to boost tourism in the country, with McGregor alone projected to earn a quarter of a billion dollars.
However, White has refuted these claims, maintaining that he’s concentrating on arranging McGregor’s next fight in the octagon later this year – which will be his first UFC fight since July 2021. Logan, meanwhile, appears to be focusing on his promising WWE career.
