Coronation Street fans will see Brie take action against Lauren Bolton next week in a bid to jeopardise her freedom, as the characters faces trial on the ITV soap
There’s new drama ahead on Coronation Street next week, as a sinister plan seems to be exposed.
Newcomer Brie’s real intentions for Lauren appear to be outed in awkward fashion. There of course has to be more to it, amid theories from viewers she is linked to Lauren or even villain Joel Deering.
But a clip for next week’s episode definitely give away that Brie is targeting her, sharing a vicious lie about the teen as she faces trial. In her time of need, Brie targets Lauren once more and this time she could do some serious damage.
Fresh from taunting her in her cell during Friday’s episode, Brie is back on Monday and prepares to tarnish Lauren’s character in front of the jury. As Roy Cropper provides a statement on the stand about how Lauren is a good person, Brie interrupts proceedings to try and discredit her.
Spoilers and a preview clip show the moment Brie falsely accuses Lauren of attacking her, likely trying to diminish her claims of self-defence over Joel’s murder. As Roy declares Lauren is “kind, caring and thoughtful”, Brie screams out leaving Lauren stunned.
Brie steps forward with her arm in a sling and feigns fear. She shouts out to the judge and all those in the courtroom: “No she isn’t. If she’s so kind and caring how come she attacked me last night?”

These scenes air on Monday night, with fans having to tune in to see if Brie’s plan pays off. But why is Brie after Lauren, and why would she lie about her?
Of course fans know Lauren can’t have attacked her, as on Friday night we saw the pair split up by a prison officer after a row. Lauren had threatened Brie after she continued to taunt her, before revealing she was leaving the unit and the prison.
Lauren didn’t have the time to attack Brie, but why would Brie go to the lengths she has to not only target the teenager, but to then appear in court and lie about her? All will be revealed in upcoming scenes, as Lauren prepares to learn her fate.
Viewers have already shared theories on Brie’s reasons for targeting Lauren, with some convinced she could be someone from Lauren’s past. Others suggested there is a link to Joel, or perhaps Brie is hiding her true identity, or is hiding a sinister secret – but time will tell.
