CORONATION STREET SPARKS SPECULATION—WHO WILL TAKE OVER NUMBER 6 AFTER YASMEEN? With Yasmeen’s future at Number 6 hanging in the balance, the neighbours are already jostling for position. As tensions rise on the cobbles, viewers are left guessing who’ll claim the coveted address.
Coronation Street has hinted that a fight could flare up over who’ll take ownership of Number 6.
The new storyline is teased in Wednesday’s episode, as Ronnie Bailey reveals that he’s got his eye on the property.
Yasmeen Metcalfe currently owns the house, but is planning to sell up following her decision to move away from the Street back in March.
In a scene at the café tonight, Ronnie updates Kevin Webster on his plans. He’s still on a high after reuniting with Kevin’s sister Debbie and is plotting their next step as a couple.

Ronnie explains: “We put another offer in on Number 6, and the estate agent has just confirmed receipt.”
More cautious, Kevin replies: “Congratulations – as long as Yasmeen accepts.”
Jenny Connor also wades in on the conversation, telling Ronnie: “I hope you get it – that would really grind Carla’s face into the dirt!”
Jenny’s helpful reminder refers to Carla and Lisa Swain’s previous conversations about potentially putting in an offer of their own.

As with all updates on the future of ‘Swarla’, the latest scene has certainly got fans talking on social media…
“The fact Carla is even mentioned in this scene gives me even more clarity that it’s #swarla that get #6,” one fan posted.
Another speculated: “I do wonder if we’re gonna get some sort of Carla v Ronnie bidding war for No. 6.”
A third added: “Maybe Lisa and Carla get number 6 and Debbie and Ronnie get the flat as Lisa and Carla need a bigger place as they also got Betsy… the flat maybe big enough for Debbie and Ronnie.”
The scenes air tonight at 8pm on ITV1, but the episode is streaming early now on ITVX and YouTube.
