Coronation Street star Bernie TRANSFORMS dramatically in GLAMOROUS photos
Coronation Street fans have been left smitten by the dazzling transformation of Bernie Winter’s star, Jane Hazlegrove.
Jane made her debut on the ITV soap in 2019, portraying Bernie Winter, the estranged mother of Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash), quickly becoming a fan favourite.
Bernie has had her fair share of dramatic storylines over the years. In 2023, Paul was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Tragically, he passed away in September 2024, with Bernie at his side in heart-wrenching scenes.
Adding to the drama, Bernie was taken aback when her long-lost son Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) showed up last year, reports OK!.
Bernie’s romantic escapades, particularly her relationship with Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), have also been a hot topic among viewers. Earlier this year, the couple got engaged on the cobbles, with their wedding scheduled for next week.
However, Bernie and Dev’s big day won’t be without its hitches, as spoilers reveal that Bernie is rushed to hospital after collapsing in a medical emergency.
Recently, actress Jane Hazlegrove underwent a glamorous makeover for her role as Bernie, showcased in new photos at the Alahan residence.
In the striking images shared on Coronation Street’s Facebook fan page, Bernie looked unrecognisable from her usual character, appearing to go topless under a plush white fluffy coat, revealing her shoulder.
Sporting several chic pearl necklaces, Bernie gazed seductively at the camera, her golden tresses styled in an elegant blow-dry with luminous makeup completing the look.
Responding to the fresh snaps, admirers were ecstatic, with one fan commenting: “Scrubs up very well lovely photos”. Another gushed: “Wow. Stunning photos of you Jane, you look amazing.”
A third enthusiast remarked: “She should wear her hair down more often she looks lovely!”.
Beyond the soap world, Jane enjoys a blissful romance with her devoted actress spouse Isobel Middleton. The couple exchanged vows in 2015 after more than 28 years together.
Isobel is also a performer and familiar face on television. Over the years, Isobel has portrayed three different characters in Emmerdale. She first appeared as Dr Lane in 2014, then as a barrister during Simon McManus’ 2018 court case. In 2020, she embodied Jean Rawson on the programme.
Yet Emmerdale isn’t Isobel’s only soap credit. In 2002, she portrayed Sadie Banks on BBC’s EastEnders. Branching into major films, Isobel featured in 2009’s Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
