Coronation Street’s Daisy Midgeley has teamed up with her mother Christina to catfish Jenny in her latest scheme – and now fans are convinced that they know her actual plan

Corrie fans have rumbled Daisy’s catfish scheme with a new theory
Coronation Street fans watched tonight as Daisy and her birth mother Christina cruelly catfished Jenny on a dating app – and now fans have worked out their real intentions behind the prank. Tonight’s episode of the ITV soap saw Daisy and Christina begin chatting to Jenny online as a mystery man called Dom.
Chatting away to Jenny on the dating app, it’s not long before they send her a bouquet of flowers to keep her interested – although Daisy admits her worries that Jenny will want to meet up with their fake suitor soon. Now, fans are convinced that they know the real reason behind Daisy and Christina’s catfish plan. In one scene, Christina tells her daughter: “Do you think that she is falling for perfect Dom?

Daisy has been catfishing Jenny – and now fans think they know why
“Talking about her 60K, and how she’s gonna buy the pub of her dreams. But instead, we’re swindling her.”
Sharing the quotes online, one viewer wrote: “Daisy and Christina are a great team…of swindlers.” While a second said: “Are they planning to scam Jenny out of her money #corrie.”

A third tweeted: “I really hate what Daisy and Christina are doing to Jenny! They don’t deserve that money at all #Corrie.” Another wasn’t impressed with their scheme, writing: “This is a cruel prank on Jenny. #Corrie.”
Meanwhile, one viewer predicted that after stealing Jenny’s money, it wouldn’t be long until Christina turned on Daisy – having only just re-entered her life. “Karma would be Christina rips off Daisy as well! #Corrie.”
While it was previously unclear whether Daisy was motivated by her recent falling out with stepmother Jenny – who blamed her for the death of her young son 12 years ago – or by the knowledge that Jenny received a secret windfall of £60,000.
Daisy star Charlotte Jordan is set to leave the soap in coming months – and it’s this storyline that may see the character chased away from Weatherfield for good.
Earlier today, The Mirror revealed that two stars are set to leave the cobbles in an explosive twist this summer – although the exits have been planned for a while.
A Coronation Street spokesperson promised “chaos and destruction” in the lead-up to Mick and Lou Michaelis leaving the cobbles. “This is not a surprise exit or early departure. Mick and Lou were brought into the show to cause chaos on the cobbles in the build up to a major storyline in the summer and they are already making their presence felt,” they said.
“Joe and Farrell were contracted for a specific length of time, some characters come in for a long time and some like Mick and Lou are brought to pass through and leave a trail of destruction behind them. Both actors are still filming with the show and will be on screen until the summer.”
