Coronation Street has revealed an emotional first look at Daisy Midgeley’s final episode.
The popular character bows out from Weatherfield next week, as Charlotte Jordan’s four-year run in the role comes to an end.
A first-look spoiler clip from next Friday’s episode (2 May) sees Jenny Connor distraught at the prospect of Daisy leaving.
The new footage shows Jenny inform Daisy that she’s having a tough time, as her potential investor has pulled out of talks for a deal and an alternate buyer has now been found for The Rovers.

Jenny adds: “I can deal with all of that, somehow. It’s you going that’s breaking my heart.
“I know it’s daft – I just feel like I’m being abandoned. Don’t leave, Daisy – I’m begging you please.”
Charlotte Jordan announced her decision to leave Coronation Street in January and filmed her final scenes the following month.
Speaking at the time, Charlotte said: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish.
“After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.
“It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.”

Show bosses have since promised that Daisy leaves in a “dramatic and emotionally charged storyline”, although details of her final scenes are still being kept under wraps.
Charlotte recently added: “I think it’s very bittersweet for Daisy to be leaving. Weatherfield has been her home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted – family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself – but it’s also been the source of so much trauma for her.
“As for me, I’m feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I’ve gotten to work with. Producer Kate [Brooks] has been so supportive about me wanting to go back out into the audition circuit and very generous with Daisy’s exit story, as she really wanted to do the character justice.
“Coronation Street is a very special building, and I have loved it. And it’s just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever.”
