Coronation Street’s David Platt will be left fuming after discovering Sarah Barlow’s latest love interest.

Viewers recently witnessed a flirty display from Sarah and Kit Green when the police detective tried to chat her up in the Rovers Return. Sarah reciprocated Kit’s interest but decided to make him work for her attention.

However, her plan to play hard to get didn’t last very long, as Kit was later invited back to her flat.

Next week, David and his wife Shona return from visiting Gail, following her recent move to the south of France. They let themselves into Sarah’s flat, where they’ve been staying since the fire at Number 8.

The pair receive an unwelcome surprise when Kit, who previously had a one-night stand with Shona, emerges from the bathroom wearing only a towel.

“David reached an uneasy truce with Kit a few weeks ago and it seemed that their troubles were finally behind them,” our Corrie source reminds us.

“Kit’s decision to start seeing Sarah threatens to spark a new round of drama, though. David imagined that they’d stay out of each other’s way from now on, but if Sarah’s new romance goes well, Kit could become a constant presence among the Platt family…”

Furious David kicks off with his sister over her taste in men, unhappy that she’s now seeing Kit. Kit does his best to control his temper, but will his feud with David be reignited?
