DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR: Tommy Cooper Was WARNED LIVE on ITV After COMMENT That Outraged Viewers

Tommy Cooper has been slapped with a television trigger warning over his comments by ITV, it has been reported. It comes after another warning was made for Carry On Star Kenneth Williams’ repeated innuendo. According to The Sun, the fez-wearing magician best known for the catchphrase ‘Just like that’ is the latest person ITV has warned viewers about.
Many decades ago, the late comedian’s antics were watched by millions of viewers, and he was a household name. However, after being uploaded to ITVX, episodes of The Best of Tommy Cooper have been given alerts warning of “adult humour and outdated attitudes.”
One skit shows Tommy joking about his wife, Gwen, telling the audience: “She’s always on a diet, my wife. She eats nothing but coconuts and bananas all day long.

“She hasn’t lost any weight, but you want to see her climb trees.” Tommy then quipped: “Someone rang my wife and said they’d seen her husband at the beach with a blonde on his arm. My wife said, ‘What do you expect at his age? A bucket and a spade?’”
Another episode sees the funnyman perform as Count Dracula and Frankenstein in a one-man play.
Free Speech Union head Lord Toby Young said of the warning: “Aren’t ‘outdated attitudes’ precisely why people watch Tommy Cooper? That’s code for humour unconstrained by woke virtue-signalling.”
Tommy d!ed in 1984, aged 63, after suffering a heart @ttack on stage in front of 12 million viewers during his act on the London Weekend Television variety show.
Attempts were made backstage to revive him as another act treaded the boards, but he sadly d!ed.
