EXCLUSIVE: The remaining contestants put on a show stopping performance in Blackpool.

BBC star set to pull out of Strictly dealt devastating blow (Image: BBC)
Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Kingston performed with a dislocated rib at the weekend. The news of her horror injury came just hours after she performed her Couple’s Choice routine alongside Johannes Radebe at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. It was announced during Saturday night’s show that fellow contestant La Voix had to withdraw altogether from the competition following an ankle injury. It is now feared Alex may follow suit.
Former BBC show legend Vincent Simone, 46, has since delivered a devastating blow to the actress, 62, as the professional dancer delivered his show verdict. La Voix’s exit resulted in Strictly abandoning the dance off in a major show shake up meaning no one was voted out of the competition.
However, the former Strictly pro admitted he would have sent Alex packing after her performance on Saturday night in a devastating blow.

Speaking exclusively Express.co.uk on behalf of Paddy Power, he said: “I would have chosen Alex to leave. Balvinder [Sopal’s] dancing was stronger technically, and she had earned her place for another week.”
Alex and Johannes scored a respectable 35 points out of 40, placing them second from the bottom of the leaderboard.
Vincent did admit he hoped Alex would not have to leave the competition as a result of her injury.
He commented: “A dislocated rib is incredibly painful. I’ve seen fellow pros dance with that injury and it’s no joke. It will be very difficult to work around, and I just hope she doesn’t have to withdraw.”

Alex’s daughter Salome Violetta Haertel announced her mum was performing through pain. She wrote: “So so proud!!! Slayed the dance floor, dislocated rib and all!!!”
After the news sparked concern among viewers the amateur dancer assured fans she’s doing fine.
“I just want to assure everyone that I am completely fine,” Alex said via her Instagram Stories. “It is a minor injury… it’s all part and parcel of dancing at these levels.
“The comment was made by my concerned and loving daughter… nothing more. I will be on the dance floor as early as tomorrow morning… rehearsing. Super excited for next week! Cha Cha Cha.”
Alex is the fourth contestant to be injured during the competition. It was confirmed on Saturday that La Voix had exited the show.
Stefan Dennis had to withdraw just weeks into the series. Meanwhile, Dani Dyer was replaced by Amber Davies after she suffered an injury and had to exit the show.
