Emmerdale fans are convinced that both Eric and Brenda are headed for an exit from the show after last night’s cruise reveal.

Last night (March 27), Nicola revealed to Brenda that she had won a magazine competition for an around the world cruise. But Brenda was adamant that she couldn’t go. And the main reason was because of Eric.

Nicola set working on her own plan to take the places on the cruise for herself and Jimmy. But after a conversation with Eric, Jimmy decided he didn’t think it was the best idea. And with reports that Lesley Dunlop is set to exit as Brenda, perhaps she ends up going on the cruise. But does Eric go with her?

Double Emmerdale exit for Brenda and Eric?

If Eric was the main reason Brenda was turning the cruise down, then him taking the second spot would solve her problems. For three months, the pair could head all over the world together and could even sort out their issues.

Brenda and Eric have had a turbulent relationship on the soap – completely different from their off-screen romance! Recently the pair called time on their romance. But that hasn’t stopped them from being there for each other.

Eric has still been desperate to win Brenda back, but she is less interested in that route, and more interested in them being friends with each other.

However, after last night’s episode, a fan took to X to make a prediction. They wrote: “Brenda will end up taking Eric with her and that will be their leaving storyline.”

Is Eric leaving?

While it seems completely possible that Eric could go with Brenda, there haven’t been any reports that Chris Chittell is stepping down from his role.

Perhaps Eric does go for the three months, but decides to return to the village alone. But what would have happened over those three months that would make Brenda not come back too?

With Eric being the only family Jacob has in the village right now after Leyla’s death, would he really leave him alone?

Another fan responded to that theory, predicting that perhaps it is Cathy that tags along with Brenda, as actress Gabrielle Dowling is set to take a temporary step away from the soap to focus on her A-Levels.

They penned: “I think Cathy is leaving. So maybe she will go with Brenda.”

Whether or not this is Brenda’s Emmerdale exit remains to be seen. But it does look possible that Eric could be leaving alongside her.
