DRAMATIC TURN: Emmerdale shaken as ‘PREGNANT’ Charity Dingle suffers terrifying fall—will she break the news to Sarah?

Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) just wants to help her poorly grandchild, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), who has recently been through a hysterectomy after being diagnosed with cancer on Emmerdale. Ahead of the emergency surgery, Sarah was undergoing IVF as she wants nothing more than to start a family of her own.
With IVF no longer being an option, her grandmother, Charity, offered to be her surrogate, but at 49 years old, there are a lot of risks involved with carrying a child. In scenes yet to air, Charity and her husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) go for a walk through the woods. But disaster soon strikes when Charity takes a tumble – if she’s pregnant, does this mean she’s lost the baby?

Back at Jacob Gallagher’s (Joe Warran Plant), Charity tries to convince herself that everything will be fine when Sarah comes home, and doesn’t tell her about the fall.
She knows Sarah would be left heartbroken as she feels Charity is her only hope of having a child to raise with Jacob.
In an attempt to deflect their fussing, Charity suggests an engagement party for Sarah and Jacob.
But when the family gets the Woolpack ready for the event, Charity has to rush to the toilet in pain.

When she reveals to her ex, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), that she’s been bleeding, she must make a decision. Should she tell Sarah the truth or wait until after the engagement party?
Mack has been concerned about Charity’s decision to be a surrogate for weeks, as they have lost a child of their own in the past. Will he convince her to end the process if she’s had a miscarriage?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
