Dylan and her youngest son, Russell, or “Rusty,” went through the wringer this weekend.
The TV star shared on Instagram on Saturday that her tot came down with a 24-hour stomach bug.
In one image, Dylan laid on a pile of clothing face down, and in another photo, on a towel on her bathroom floor.
In comparison, Rusty looked adorable as could be in other snaps despite being the one who was sick.
Dylan found humor in the situation and pointed out how differently they were dealing with his falling ill in her caption.
She wrote: “Why does Rusty look like an angel when he’s got the stomach bug and I just look like a pathetic hungover college kid laying on a pile of dirty clothes?? Glad that’s over!!! (College and the 24 hr stomach bug).”
‘FEEL BETTER RUSTY & REST UP DYLAN!’
One fan gushed in the replies: “Let’s go with the positive… you look like a college kid!!!”
Another wrote: “Dylan, I’m a big fan of yours. Such a good mom!”
A third wrote: There’s NOTHING worse. Feel better.”
A fourth penned: “You are strong and will get through and so will Rusty, beautiful family.”
A fifth wrote: “Feel better little guy,” and a sixth: “Poor baby. Glad he is feeling better, get some sleep momma!”
MISSING IN ACTION
Dylan missed Thursday’s show, as Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones, and Craig Melvin sat at the desk for Today’s Third Hour.
Typically, Dylan sits with them, but she was missing from the broadcast.
“Welcome to the Third Hour of Today. I’m Sheinelle, here with Al and Craig,” Sheinelle, 45, gave the introduction.
“Thanks for being with us on this Thursday morning.”
Sheinelle went on to talk about how Thanksgiving is one week away and the chefs on the show.
They did not mention Dylan’s absence or where she was, like they typically do.
Dylan was on the show on Wednesday and Monday while she was on assignment on Tuesday.
That said, Dylan was also on Today on Friday, rallying despite coming down with her stomach bug.
GO DYLAN!
Dylan’s absences have come amid her taking on other projects.
Last month, she posted a photo of her and her son, Cal, on her Instagram account, cooking something in the kitchen.
They made bread stuffing, which also included celery, onions, and a great deal of seasoning.
She disclosed her secret to making the gluten-free treat tasty.
Her son recently went gluten-free after going through health troubles.
“Future #cookingwithcal recipe coming soon!” she captioned the post.
“But my secret so far is a mix of gluten free bakery bought loaf of bread, @simplekneads_gf sourdough bread, and @canyonglutenfree honey white bread…left out for 2 days then lightly toasted. More to come!”
Fans in Dylan’s comments thanked her for the recipe and insisted she’d keep more food recipes coming.
Dreyer has been married to Brian – a writer and producer known for Amanda Wakes Up and Today – since 2012.
Dreyer and her husband share Russell or “Rusty”, Oliver, and Calvin.

In November 2022, Dreyer revealed her two young sons, Rusty and Oliver, were rushed to the hospital with a terrifying respiratory virus the month prior.
As the pair battled Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), they went through a bad cough, high fever, and ear infection, before recovering.
