There’s some big twists and turns on EastEnders next week in the fallout to the 40th anniversary episodes.

Several characters take centre stage with shocks, surprises and some big secrets. More than one character is hiding something, and there’s plenty of discoveries.
Some characters are still coming to terms with recent events, including the d3aths of Martin Fowler and Reiss Colwell after The Queen Vic explosion. Sharon Watts is hiding something it seems, and more than one character soon learns the truth.
With her fearing it will come to light, there’s an even bigger shock on the cards for her brother Zack Hudson. Elsewhere and the Slaters are struggling in the fallout to Martin’s d3ath, while Bianca Jackson is also in a bad way.
The Knights try to help her as she faces the turmoil of being kidnapped by Reiss and held hostage for months. With her also blaming herself for what happened at The Vic, a number of residents will reach out.

Elsewhere, one character finds themself left out in the cold while another leaves their own relative scared. Let’s kick things off with the big twists of the week ahead.
Sharon is hiding something huge and soon she realises Bianca has found out what it is. She tries to take control of the situation and prepares to be honest, but circumstances prevent her from speaking out.
She confides in her sibling Zack who vows to help her, as it becomes apparent someone else has overheard the secret. Barney Mitchell soon admits to Zack he’s the one who eavesdropped, and Zack vows to stop Barney from speaking out.
Things take a turn though when Barney’s taken to hospital as he begins bleeding from the wound he sustained in the explosion. As his parents Nicola and Teddy panic over his injury, Zack joins them and overhears a telling conversation about blood groups.

Zack ends up speaking to a nurse about it before confronting Nicola, asking if he is in fact Barney’s real dad after their shared past which is yet to be fully explained. Nicola admits in a major twist that Zack is Barney’s biological father.
Zack is left reeling and as he hits the bottle he gets a phone call from ex Whitney Dean which leaves him in a worse state. Nicola is determined to stop the truth from coming out though and tries to gain control of the situation but what does she have up her sleeve?
Elsewhere, Bianca cannot face being out on the Square and she’s encouraged by George Knight that she is not responsible for what happened. Kat Slater offers her support and Bianca begins to open up about her trauma.
As the week goes on Bianca tries different suggestions to face her fears, and Kojo Asare gets her some food at Beales Eels, only for a group to kick off at him. Bianca must face her fears to be there for him, but will she make progress?
Finally next week, Tommy Moon returns home and his parents Kat and Alfie are proud by a gesture he makes to a friend in need. But when Tommy keeps asking to speak to his friend online, Kat risks a row when she’s forced to admit she got rid of his computer console.
Later in the week Tommy loses his cool but will he lash out again? Elsewhere, Harvey Monroe feels pushed out by the Slaters as they grieve for Martin, leading to him confiding in Kathy Beale.
