Howard Saddler played the role of Pastor Clayton in EastEnders from 2023 until he was axed last year.
The holy man s3xually assaulted Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) and subsequently denied the crime.
When she eventually went to the police, the sicko denied her justice and took his own life in upsetting scenes.
But now, months after his final scenes in Walford, Howard has been spotted by a stunned soap enthusiast.
The actor was shopping in an IKEA when the eagle-eyed EastEnders viewer clocked him.
Posting a selfie with the star, the fan said: “I had the privilege of meeting Howard Saddler today.”
The pair could be seen smiling in the middle of the Swedish furniture store for the snap.
Other fans flooded the threat with comments, as one replied: “I had to think twice who he was! I am always amazed how actors can look like different people because of their facial expressions.”
A second said: “It’s not often you bumped into someone who was in EastEnders, only last year.”

“I was gobsmacked when I spotted him in the background of that famous scene in the Office with Ricky Gervais dancing,” said a third.
While a fourth said: “How nice! He looks like he’s very friendly and approachable.”
Other aspects of the EastEnders 40th anniversary celebration include: A wedding between fan favorites, A huge explosion at the Queen Vic, and A live interactive episode.
