Eastenders Officially Announces Further Changes To Its Episode Schedule, Promising Even More Drama And Surprises As The Show’s Explosive Summer Storylines Kick Off
EastEnders has lined up more episode changes for its dramatic summer.
The soap will undergo a slight schedule move in a few weeks’ time due to the Wimbledon coverage on BBC One.
As such, the series will air double bills on Monday, 30 June and Tuesday, 1 July over on BBC Two, fitting in all the week’s episodes there and then instead of the usual Monday to Thursday schedule.
EastEnders has also teased plenty of drama in the episode synopses, with Linda and Elaine clashing and Vicki coming upon some lucrative info, while a situation gets out of hand in The Vic in Monday’s episodes.

The changes come after the soap eschewed its normal early release on Monday (16 June) this week in order to keep the surprise of Zoe Slater’s return, while the episode also marked new executive producer Ben Wadey’s first credit in his new role.
“Before I even stepped into the role, Zoe Slater was on my wish list of returnees, as although we haven’t seen her on screen for twenty years, her character has transcended time due to her popular storylines,” Wadey said.
“I was absolutely delighted when Michelle [Ryan] agreed to return, and I’m thrilled to welcome her back to Walford. Whilst I can’t say too much at this stage, Zoe’s return is just one of the many exciting storylines we have planned.”
