TENSIONS in the Big Brother house are rising as Ella Rae Wise becomes increasingly agitated over this series’ hottest pairing – which doesn’t involve her.

The Towie stunner was widely seen as a natural fit for former Love Islander Chris Hughes — but things took a surprise twist when he bonded instead with singer JoJo Siwa.

Before she went into the house, Ella hinted she was interested in the hunk, but insisted she didn’t want to be seen as a maneater, as online trolls often claim.

She said: “They say I’m the local bike of Towie.

“It’s sad.

“I’m not that person.

“I don’t want my mum to think that her daughter’s the local bike, because I’m not.”

On Sunday night’s show, Chris was seen discussing Ella in the hot tub with JoJo.

He claimed she was deeply envious of what he called their “friendship” — though observers could be forgiven for questioning if it’s a platonic relationship.

Asked about Chris before entering the CBB house, Ella said: “I’ve never met him.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting him because apparently he’s a laugh.

“All my friends think we’ll get on really well.”

She added: “Just lock me up if he fancies me.

“Just put me in the closet or something.

“I don’t know.

“Put me in jail outside — there could be trouble.”

With friction growing over Chris and JoJo’s relationship, Ella was right about there being trouble — but wrong about the prospect she and Chris might hit it off.

I exclusively revealed he was always unlikely to pursue anything with Ella because, outside the house, he is mates with Dan Edgar, who she split with just as she joined the ITV reality show.

She insisted that whatever happens, she isn’t going to give anyone ammunition to criticise her further as her spot on CBB has already ruffled feathers back in Essex.

Ella said: “People probably think I’m going to be the house b***h, but I’m not, because I’m not the b***h on Towie either.

“I don’t want to slag them off because, at the end of the day, I love my dysfunctional family.

“As much as I don’t get on with a few, I wish them to do bloody amazing in their career.

“I would hope that there wouldn’t be any jealousy.”

I think you might be hoping for too much there, Ella . . .

EUROVISION hopefuls Remember Monday have revealed that they had a pawsome plan to win next month’s contest – but the event’s bosses reined it in.

The girl group asked whether they could take a troupe of dancing dogs on stage with them when they represent the UK in Switzerland on May 17.

But band member Lauren Byrne said: “We did ask if we could have dogs on stage with us.

“But they said no.

“We just felt if we could have dogs on stage with us – especially ones smart and trained to do dances – that’s an immediate 12 points. ”

The group also teased that their live performance of their song What The Hell Just Happened? in Basel will be one big party.

Holly-Anne Hull told the I’m Sorry Zero Points podcast: “It’s going to be girly and theatrical and fun.”

THE ASSEMBLY is one of the year’s most interesting new shows.

It sees a string of celebs, including actors David Tennant and Danny Dyer, plus former Little Mix singer Jade Thrilwall, being quizzed by an audience of autistic, neurodivergent or learning-disabled young people.

The series will air on ITV after the BBC passed on the chance to broadcast it, despite running an award-nominated pilot episode which featured Michael Sheen.

Executive producer Michelle Singer told Radio Times: “The BBC were very proud of the show, and it’s been nominated for awards.

“But they simply weren’t in a position to afford to commission it.

“They [ITV] loved the Sheen episode.

“They loved the format, they loved the ethos.”

The Assembly begins on Saturday at 10.05pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

THE final season of Netflix psychological thriller You lands on Thursday, with all ten episodes dropping at once.

And Penn Badgley is ready to say goodbye to his killer character, Joe Goldberg.

He said: “It’s bittersweet.

“But it’s time for him to lay down, to stop, to put that knife down.”
