Celebrity Big Brother viewers were surprised to hear The Only Way Is Essex star Ella Rae Wise accusing some of her co-stars of being experienced at reality TV when that has been the basis of her own career

Celebrity Big Brother viewers are convinced that Ella Rae Wise has a sneaky gameplan after she bitterly clashed over Chris Hughes. Fans of reality TV will be well aware that the 24-year-old has been a cast member on ITV’s hit series The Only Way Is Essex since 2019.

In scenes that aired on Sunday night, the house was rocked when Olympian Daley Thompson, 66, shared his thoughts that some members of the house were playing a game in an effort to win the series. He was subsequently evicted on Friday night – but his words appeared to hang over the house for hours later.

On Saturday, the housemates had to take on roles of a dysfunctional family for the latest task – with Ella and 32-year-old Love Island star Chris given the task of acting like infants. However, a game of Bingo showed Ella being asked to reveal which member of the house is not her “cup of tea” and she picked out American singer JoJo Siwa, 21 – who has bonded closely with Chris.

And later, asked which housemate they think is fake, Chris was chosen. Viewers watched as housemates suggested that Chris had a lot of experience of working in reality TV, suggesting he may not be being authentic in the house as he could potentially be playing up to the cameras instead.

Ella piled into the theory – but viewers watching along argued that she is the fakest housemate of all as she is a seasoned reality star. Many took to X to slam the Towie star and suggest she was trying to turn the house against Chris.

Another angrily typed: “ELLA YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES REALITY DAILY, YOU’RE ON TOWIE!!! JoJo being a singer and being on dance mums as a child is NOT doing reality daily, Chris being on Love Island so many years ago is NOT doing reality daily, he does bloody horse racing… #CBB #CBBUK.”

Another accused Ella of sour grapes, writing: “Isn’t Ella just a reality TV star? And she is so bitter that her two game plans actually don’t like her that much. She is gutted Chris isn’t interested and jealous of JoJo being popular #cbb.”

Many fans have theorised that Elle planned to seduce Chris when they entered the house together in a bid to win airtime and fan support – but the plan backfired as he has largely shunned her in the house.

One wrote on X: “Ella is projecting, she’s the one that came in with a game plan and that was to get with Chris #CBBUK #cbb.”

Some fans have fully turned on Ella, with one writing: “I’d rather watch people deciding to be entertaining to get airtime rather than people getting airtime by moaning that other people are playing the game to get airtime, idk I just feel like if Ella tried to have a personality she might be less jealous of JoJo lol #cbb #cbbuk.”

Prior to entering the Big Brother house, Ella was left heartbroken when her relationship with Towie co-star Dan Edgar came to an abrupt end. Love Island star Chris is also believed to be single – having previously dated Love Island and Towie star Olivia Attwood and Little Mix star Jesy Nelson.

He has bonded with American singer JoJo the most – with the pair often chatting intimately and sharing naps together. However, some viewers have questioned if Chris could be planning to use JoJo, who has a huge online following, to boost his own career.
