EMERGENCY: Fans of ABC’s David Muir ‘PRAY’ as he STOPS show over ‘DANGEROUS’ emergency news alert

Fans were left feeling rather concerned after Monday’s installment of ABC World News Tonight, thanks to David Muir’s opening breaking news announcement.

The 51-year-old long-running host opened the show with a worrying news update, saying, “We begin tonight with the air quality alerts for millions of Americans at this hour, smoke from raging w!ldfires in Canada now spreading down right over the US across the Midwest and the Northeast.”

“In Boston, a ground stop at Logan Airport for a time. In New York City tonight, an air quality alert now issued, also the warnings about the air in Detroit,” David continued as he listed off the concerning alerts across the country.

The ABC journalist didn’t finish there. He continued, “And it’s not just Canada. 39 major w!ldfires are now burning in 13 states in the West.

“Tonight, there are real concerns over the air quality in all those highlighted areas with the highest risk in the areas in red from Las Vegas to Green Bay, Detroit to Buffalo, all in the red zone due to wildfire smoke. But this stretches all the way to New York City and Boston. More than 700 w!ldfires are burning in Canada.”

“This one in British Columbia, closing down on major highway, forcing hundreds to evacuate,” David went on, as a video of an air tankers or water bomber dropped water on the raging fire below.

“The skyline of Boston barely visible because of that haze. A ground stop at Logan Airport for a time and in the West tonight, the Gifford fire burning more than 100 square miles north of Los Angeles, prompting evacuations, causing several injuries,” he added.

David concluded his part of the report by introducing Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee, who then delivered the forecast, which displayed some harrowing clips and pictures of the devastation the fires have caused so far.

“Extrodinary pictures from across the US and Canada tonight. Let’s get right to Ginger and Ginger, as you said, from the Midwest to the Great Lakes to the Finger Lakes, all the way to New York City and Boston. The impact from this is fast,” David pointed out as he addressed the Chief Meteorologist.

Ginger explained that Canada “has had more than 16 million acres burned,” which is “more than twice their average acreage to date.”

She then went in to deliver the air quality forecast for the week, warning that, “For the mid-week, is what we have to kind of hold out for Wednesday. By then, things are looking better, but we’re going to see this push around some of that near-surface smoke, which is tough for people with asthma, certainly for the young or elderly.”

Ginger also warned viewers about, “Flash Flood alerts from Atlanta back down to Apalachicola, Florida. Two inch per hour rainfall rates through tomorrow are possible, and it is that time of year. Climatologically, it’s when we heat up in the Atlantic.”

A clip of the segment was shared on ABC World News Tonight’s Instagram page, where the key information from the report was noted in the caption. The concerning news updates left viewers feeling rather uneasy.

One user commented, “Pray for everyone safety,” as a second echoed, “Let’s agree in prayer for God’s grace and mercy in this situation. Lord we pray for the people being affected.”

“Very unfortunately… we need to find a way to stop all this,” someone else said as a fourth wrote, “Good luck Canada.” A fifth quipped, “Mother Earth has had enough of our BS”
