Emmerdale‘s Sarah Sugden decides on a sudden new direction next week, announcing that she wants a baby.
Sarah chooses Vanessa Woodfield as a confidante after taking some time to consider what she really wants from her life.
The teen is given pause for thought over her recent love triangle after Jacob Gallagher and Kammy Hadiq go head-to-head in a dirt bike race this week.
Sarah is furious when she realises that Kammy has gone ahead with the risky race, defying her threats to dump him if he took part.

ITV
“Sarah’s had enough of all the drama between Kammy and Jacob,” our Emmerdale source explains.
“While Kammy’s mischievous antics seemed endearing at first, Sarah starts to see it all as a massive waste of her time.
“It’s in a conversation with Vanessa that she finally opens up – declaring that she doesn’t want a boyfriend, she wants a baby…”
Vanessa is quick to scrutinise Sarah’s decision, questioning whether it’s really the right move.

ITV
Undeterred, Sarah starts to investigate the possibility of IVF. She seeks confirmation from local doctor Manpreet Sharma over whether she’d be eligible considering her life-limiting medical condition.
Manpreet is sceptical, but Sarah stands firm and soon tells Vanessa that she’s been in touch with IVF clinics to confirm her eligibility.
Suddenly, Sarah’s gran Charity approaches and the pair become flustered over this awkward interruption to their conversation.

ITV
“Vanessa doesn’t like the idea of keeping Charity in the dark over Sarah’s baby dream,” our insider adds.
“It’s very difficult for Vanessa after the long history between her and Charity. They’re now on decent terms after their break-up and the last thing Vanessa wants is for things to blow up again.
“Vanessa does try her best to convince Sarah to confide in Charity about what’s going on, but whether Sarah is willing to trust her gran remains to be seen…”
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, April 28 on ITV1 and ITVX.
