From John’s secrets being exposed to Dawn’s marriage break-up, a lot has happened in Emmerdale this week. But has all of it made sense? Nope!
There’s a few things that have been bothering us once again – here’s what.

1. Aidan Moore – in Hotten General
Of all the hospitals in all the world, Aidan had to be in a coma in this one. Okay, so that’s not quite how the line goes, but anyway, what are the chances?!
After suffering an accident that left him in a permanent vegetative state in Afghanistan, Aidan was airlifted to hospital. And has ended up in none other than Hotten General. The miracle working hospital that can fix almost anyone. Although in this case, it would seem, not Aidan.
Now there’s coincidences and there’s coincidences in Soapland. With this being the latter, should we be expecting another twist to come in the John/Aidan story?

2. Mack the hypocritical love guru in Emmerdale this week
We’ve all made mistakes, right? But who has possibly made more mistakes than anyone in Emmerdale? Mackenzie Boyd, that’s who.
So how does he think he is qualified to interfere in anyone else’s relationship? This is the man who stole Charity from Vanessa, then cheated on Charity with teenage Chloe, getting her pregnant. Mack tried to convince her to have an abortion, then decided to be with her when Charity found out the truth.
Then they all drove off a cliff and Mack choose to save Charity instead of his fiancé and the mother of his child. He got back together with Charity and poor Chloe was left with nothing.
Have we missed anything? Even if we have, his history proves he’s hardly anyone to talk about truth and trust in relationships. So what gives him the right to preach to John and try to split him and Aaron up – without even getting Aaron’s permission?!
Okay, so in this case, he is right, but that doesn’t excuse him. Mack needs to butt out and concentrate on his own behaviour before judging other people’s.

3. Although Mack did have a point…
We know, we’ve just spent five paragraphs Mack-bashing, but he also made a good point this week in Emmerdale. He told Victoria and Aaron they didn’t really know John that well – and he is right.
Victoria invited her new half-brother to live with her and her young son Harry within minutes of meeting him. She didn’t question hers or her son’s safety.
Meanwhile Aaron got engaged to him after five minutes and is now surprised he doesn’t know everything about him. Granted, the Aidan Moore lie was a biggie (and there’s more to come) but still, not all John’s fault, is it Aaron? Ever heard of taking it slow?

4. Where were the kids in Emmerdale this week?
Speaking of little Harry, where is he? While most parents across the country have been juggling the Easter holidays and school inset days, Victoria seems to have forgotten she has a child.
We haven’t seen Harry for months. She seems to have absolutely no struggle getting childcare to just wander round the village interfering in her brother’s affairs. It’s no mean feat especially given Granny Wendy is no longer around.
Come to think of it, we haven’t seen baby Evan for a while either. He seems to be taking a loooong nap upstairs all the time.
Thomas is about the only kid who’s been on screen this week and that’s just as a plot device for Vinny and Gabby’s ridiculous engagement news.

5. Why does anyone trust Joe?
Joe managed to get Kim Tate on his side this week as she paid off Caleb after the kidney theft incident. She then declared her and Joe were going to build an unstoppable empire together. But why on earth does she trust him? He’s tried to trick and her fleece her repeatedly – and he STOLE A KIDNEY for goodness sake! Unless this is a great Kim Tate plot twist?
Come to think of it, why does Joe trust Kim? She has tried to have him killed more than once!
And why does Dawn trust Joe? Why does Billy think Joe is his best friend?
We get it, Joe’s fairly charming and good looking, but honestly, we wouldn’t trust him as far as we could throw him. And Dawn deserves everything she gets when she realises that too.
