Emmerdale has shed light on what comes next following Gail Loman’s unexpected departure, offering viewers a glimpse into the emotional fallout. In touching scenes that aired earlier this week, Gail made the difficult choice to end her relationship with Ryan Stocks and relocate to Devon, leaving behind a heartbroken Ryan. Now, in the days following her exit, Ryan finds himself struggling to come to terms with her absence. As he grapples with the sudden change, those around him will step in, offering support and heartfelt advice in an effort to help him process the loss and begin to heal.

In tomorrow’s episode of the ITV soap, newly single Ryan despairs over his situation, still missing Gail.
His friend Ross Barton tries to convince him to forget about Gail and start dating again, but could Ross’s efforts backfire?

“Ross is keen to prove that he’s the best person in the village to offer advice on women,” our Emmerdale source shares.
“He believes that he has the gift of the gab around the ladies and wastes no time in trying to prove it in front of Ryan!
“Things haven’t been going so well for Ross in reality, though – Steph recently dumped him and Manpreet was far from impressed after the way he treated her with their rebound fling. Could Ross be in for a rude awakening after confidently offering his advice?”

After her final scenes as Gail aired, Rachael Gill-Davis took to social media to address her exit.
“Well… what a mad two years this has been. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shown love and support for the character over these past two years,” she captioned some behind-the-scenes photos.
“The fans of Emmerdale are just fab and it’s been wonderful meeting some of you along the way. I did the absolute best with what I was given and it’s been lovely bringing a bit of humour to your screens now and again.”
Gail was first introduced as Ryan’s girlfriend in 2019, before returning to the soap in 2023 as a series regular.
