Emmerdale legend Kelvin Fletcher needed to wipe away tears after his daughter confided in him that she had been “scared” in a heartfelt moment that they shared on his new programme
Emmerdale and Strictly Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher confessed: “It broke my heart,” during an emotional scene with his daughter Marnie on their brand new show together.
The ITV programme Fletcher’s Family Farm follows the actor, his wife and their children as they navigate life on their newly purchased farm.
Viewers are given a glimpse into the Fletchers’ private lives as they explore their stunning 120-acre farm located in the scenic village of Wincle, near Macclesfield in Cheshire. The family includes Kelvin, Liz, and their four children – Marnie, Milo, and twin boys Maximus and Mateusz.
In the latest episode, emotions ran high when Kelvin and Liz couldn’t hold back their tears after winning their first cattle award at a Cheshire show.

Kelvin was reduced to tears on his show
Cheshire Live reports they attended the event with two of their children, Marnie and Milo, who assisted in leading the cattle to the judges.
While both children were thrilled to participate, Marnie became nervous just before she led a calf named Cherry into the judging arena. Despite her nerves, they went on to win first place, setting the tone for the family’s success throughout the day.

Kelvin’s wife also couldn’t cope with her emotions
Off-camera, a visibly moved Kelvin expressed his pride, saying: “I can’t explain the emotions i’m feeling.” He shared: “I was really nervous when I first went out and I was more nervous for Marnie and Marine said to me that she was ‘scared’ and it just broke my heart.”
Determined not to let fear win, he encouraged his daughter with the words: “Come on push through it, embrace the fear and she did.” It wasn’t just Kelvin who was moved; his wife Liz was also visibly touched.

Kelvin switched up his soap star life for farming
Liz, laugh-crying, admitted: “I’ve already got tears in my eyes which I knew would happen,” and added, “I just can’t because he makes me so emotional because he has so much to do and it’s scary, it’s nerve-wracking and to just stand there and there are all these other people that have been doing it for years.”
Through her tears, she expressed her pride: “I’m just so proud, so proud of Kelvin and so proud of Marnie.” The family’s journey hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
Back in 2010, before their move to rural life, Kelvin faced a challenging time when he received unsolicited risque texts and images from fans, leading to a temporary separation.
Thankfully, they reconciled and pursued their shared dream of owning a farm. Now, viewers get to witness this dream becoming a reality for the family.
