DARK Emmerdale scenes have seen a villain return to the village to torture Joe Tate in a sick blackmail plot.

The ITV soap has welcomed back Dr Crowley months after he helped Joe get an illegal new kidney from his uncle Caleb Miligan.

Viewers will remember that Crowley was the doctor who helped Joe in his organ steaming scam.
With Joe needing a new organ to survive, Joe paid the doctor handsomely to illegal operate on an unwilling victim in order to save Joe’s life.
He ended up taking Caleb Miligan’s kidney after he was stabbed and transplanting it into Joe before fleeing the country.
However he has now made a shock return and took Joe captive with a fiendish plan.
In today’s episode Joe was seen coming to in a makeshift hospital theatre.
Drugged into paralysis, Joe was terrified as he realised Crowley was back – and he had a shock demand.
The doctor demanded huge amounts of cash – or he’d cut Joe open and take the kidney back.
Terrified Joe screamed for help until he realised it was it was no use.
And as Crowley began slicing into him to cut the kidney out – Joe relented.
He handed over his bank details and allowed his savings – £100,000 – to be transferred to the doctor in return for his life.

Later he woke up back at Home Farm, and was found by Dawn but didn’t let on about his ordeal.
But has Crowley left for good? Or does he have more plans for the Tates?
