Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher says ‘IT’S GOOD FOR THE SOUL’ in Farming Confession – Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher was seen giving a glimpse of his life on the farm during his latest TV appearance.

Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has opened up about the joys of life on his Cheshire farm since leaving the spotlight of the ITV soap where he played Andy Sugden.

After departing from Emmerdale in 2016, Kelvin traded in the drama of the Dales for the tranquillity of the countryside, snapping up a 120-acre farm.

Liz shared with the audience: “Farmers from all over go to their county show, they take their best livestock, and they show them.

“The hope is that they come home with a rosette. We’re going to be taking our bulls this year, so we need to give them a good wash down, a good clean-up, a good brush, and have them looking their absolute best.”

Kelvin and Liz were seen diligently grooming their bulls, an activity they reserve for when their animals are set to compete, reports Cheshire Live.

Liz candidly spoke to the camera, revealing Kelvin’s deep affection for the cows and how he feels a profound connection with them.

The couple’s son named one of the cows Sonic, who they were training in the ring, preparing the animal for the big day at the county show.

Kelvin reflected during the feature: “There’s loads of jobs on the farm that give you this moment to kind of be present, sometimes it’s the simplest of things.

“You just take a moment, and your only focus is to wash the cow, honestly, it’s such a lovely moment, things like this are a real privilege, really. Really calming, good for the soul.”

He previously told This Morning: “We haven’t come from farming backgrounds. We have literally taken a leap of faith and done the unthinkable and decided to uproot and move out to the middle of nowhere and start living off the land.”

The star added: “As crazy as it sounds, that is exactly what we have done.”

Lorraine is available to watch on ITVX.
