ABC boss planning another major shakeup – and GMA3 anchors could be next for axe by end of summer.
In March, ABC News’ president sent a memo confirming the future of GMA and GMA3 after staffers at ABC began packing up their desks following cuts.

Almin Karamehmedovic, the president of ABC News, circulated a memo to employees warning of big changes last month, and now some of those proposed changes are seemingly coming to light.
Good Morning America 3 hosts DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim could be in the firing line as rumors that Karamehmedovic will replace them ramps up.
The pair took over the 1pm time slot in 2023 following the affair between married co-anchors TJ Holmes and Amy Robach.
In Karamehmedovic’s memo that was circulated among staffers in March, the restructuring of the network alluded to proposed plans to merge 20/20 and Nightline, as well as consolidating its Good Morning America productions.
The future of Good Morning America has looked different for some time, with a huge shakeup poised to impact the show.
At the time of his memo, Karamehmedovic assured staffers that the GMA3 show would not be axed.
But now a source has revealed that by the summer, things could be a lot different.
“GMA3 won’t be there at the end of the summer,” an insider said to The New York Post about the current hosts of the show.
A spokesperson then told the outlet, “What we have said from the beginning is that we are unifying all day parts under the GMA umbrella and team and that includes seeing all members of the extended GMA family in the third hour.”
The spokesperson added, “The third hour is a valued part of the GMA franchise. Robin, George and Michael have been on before and they will continue to be featured.”
ABC did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

POSSIBLE AXES PENDING
GMA and its third hour GMA3 – for some time – has been rumored to be consolidated into one production unit, instead of the two separate units it currently functions as.
This means DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim could be out of the door by the time summer arrives, if The Post’s insider is correct.
The flagship program is in need of having its ratings improved, which is what the network is currently focusing on.
This comes after GMA’s ratings fell behind NBC’s Today show.
Parent company Disney reportedly planned to lay off around 200 people from its ABC News Group division and Disney Entertainment Networks unit.
Last fall, the network’s local stations were unexpectedly hit with 75 job cuts.
‘TJ AND AMY ARE TO BLAME’
Axed staffers exclusively told The U.S. Sun that they blame ex-hosts Amy Robach and TJ Holmes for the layoffs.
“Staff blamed Amy and TJ for being selfish and ruining the show, essentially, when they were let go,” one insider told us.
“They’ve never hired anyone with quite the same level of charisma that TJ and Amy had that had people tuning in to watch them together.”
According to the insider, “Amy and TJ got let go for being selfish two years ago, and now the rest of us are being fired in the fallout.
“They’ve ruined it for everyone else and now the whole staff is gone.”
