Actress Pamela is currently appearing in The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical.
The couple recently took a romantic break to Antiqua, with Lawrence sharing a snap of himself on the trip with just a hint of Pamela’s tattooed arm hinting he wasn’t alone.
They only recently made their red carpet debut at the Scottish BAFTAs but even then – Lawrence had to limit what he shares with fans because of the nature of some of the more overzealous ones.
A source said: “Lawrence and Joanne broke up some time ago very quietly.
“He later met Pamela and they hit it off. They’ve attended industry events together and been on some lovely travels together.
“They decided to keep things very private and lowkey.
“He’s a very private person and some fans can be a bit much and can’t separate their feelings about his character from him so there’s a balance to be struck.”
On-screen Lawrence has played Mackenzie for five years, joining the show in 2020.
His character, the brother of Moira Barton, was thrust into the spotlight when he romped with Charity Dingle, spelling the end for her relationship with Vanessa Woodfield.
The couple – nicknamed Vanity by fans – had become hugely popular and any character that got in the way of their fictional happiness became the target for their ire.

Mack later cheated on Charity with teenager Chloe Harris, and she fell pregnant, leaving Charity devastated.
However the now married couple are back on track in the village.
