As Elon Musk catches a ton of criticism for seemingly doing a ‘nazi salute’ at the inauguration today, there’s one group that didn’t see anything, apparently
Elon Musk sparked a wave of controversy after he did a hand motion that appeared to be a ‘Hitler salute’ during President Donald Trump’s inaugural festivities.
The Tesla CEO, known for his close ties to Trump’s administration, was seen raising his arm in a manner that drew comparisons to the infamous gesture associated with Nazi Germany.
While immediately a number of articles were published as both fans and celebrities swarmed X with comments and predictions of the next four years, Mirror reporter Jack Hobbs, on the ground in Washington D.C. reports that Donald Trump’s followers didn’t even blink. In fact, one inauguration goer called the entire thing “bull****.”

Dean Perdine, 77, attending the inauguration in Washington D.C. told the Mirror: “Bull****. That’s just bull****. Unless that is a Nazi Salute. I spent 19 years in Germany. That wasn’t a Nazi salute.”
Musk appeared on stage at the Capital One Area in front of 20,000 Trump supporters. Trump was sworn in and gave his first address inside the Capital Rotunda. He then moved to the Capital One Arena, where a parade and other celebrations will take place.
Musk, energized by the loud cheers, made animated hand gestures and screamed “yeah!” into the microphone before starting his speech. He was one of several tech billionaires seated at Donald Trump’s inauguration. Immediately, spectators jumped on twitter with comments of, “Did you see that?”
Meanwhile, another Trump follower standing right there watching, chose to ignore the act completely. Dr. Richard Aguilar, 69, says, “I wasn’t paying attention, any kind of salute. I was paying attention to his words.”

Other fans of the MAGA movement did what they do best – agreed with each other. Anthony Ramos, 70, said: ”I didn’t see this salute. He was talking about Mars and about everything that’s going on. And he’s just, like, excited where he says, and I interpreted as pointing to Mars, like, take off.”
“And then I’m surprised,” he added. “And I thought to myself, watch, watch what the liberals do with this that he was saying, salute or Ziegler hiel or whatever they say.”
Ramos’ ‘prediction’ came true, as reporters immediately noticed the similarities between Musk’s sudden motion and a Nazi salute. “I’m not sure what the phrases that the Nazis would use, but I-I thought to myself how fast can that flip and you’re talking to me right now about it!” Ramos quipped excitedly.
