KATY Perry is experiencing “disappointing” ticket sales for tour dates in select cities, The U.S. Sun has learned.

Katy, 40, announced her plan to kick off the 83-concert tour in Mexico City on April 23, and conclude the run on November 11 in Madrid.

The world tour has stops all over North America, South America, Europe and Australia, and a thrilled Katy just announced friend Rebecca Black will be a supporting act.

“It’s gonna be big!” Katy gushed this week.

However, as The U.S. Sun previously reported, Katy’s tour is suffering from low ticket sales in some cities.

As of last month, 70 percent of seats remained unsold for a May 13 date in Minneapolis.

A Raleigh, North Carolina concert still had 60 percent of the seats open.

“Expectations were high and she is disappointed by the lack of interest in some countries and venues,” the insider said.

“Some people involved thought it would be a massive wave with ticket sales exploding quickly, but sadly she is not Taylor Swift.

However, a source pointed out that Katy added more dates to the Australian leg of the tour due to overwhelming demand.

As The U.S. Sun reported, Katy contacted enemy-turned-friend Taylor to ask for advice on how to turn her tour into a massive success like the Eras tour.

“Katy saw one of Taylor’s shows last year and was excited and inspired by what she saw,” said a source.

“She knows she can count on her to give her some positive feedback.”

“Taylor wants Katy to succeed and have a great tour, and enjoy her time while on the road, and Katy appreciates that.”

BIG BACKLASH

The troubles started when many fans slammed Katy for working with controversial producer Dr. Luke on her single Woman’s World last summer.

“The irony of having a song praising women but you’re working with Dr. Luke? Katy Perry, I didn’t expect this from you,” one follower wrote on social media.

Kesha previously accused the music mogul of sexually assaulting her. (He denied the allegations.)

They settled their nasty back-and-forth lawsuit in 2023,  after Dr. Luke sued Kesha for defamation for alleging that he had raped and drugged her.

Actress Abigail Breslin also appeared to slam Katy for her decision to work with Luke.

“I’m just saying… working with known abusers in any industry just contributes to the narrative that men can do abhorrent shit and get away with it,” Abigail fumed.

“On another note, I love @KeshaRose and she gave one of the best shows I’ve ever been to last year <3 stream Kesha!”

In August, Katy was hit with another blow after she was investigated for causing environmental damage for filming her Lifetimes music video in Spain’s Balearic Islands

She allegedly did not receive the proper permits to film her video on protected land.

(However, a spokesperson insisted the production team “adhered to all regulations associated with filming in this area.”)

Katy’s album 143 was also panned by critics upon its release in September.

“143 strips away the remnants of the perky personality that catapulted Perry into early 2010s superstardom,” Variety wrote.

“The album is flat, coasting on cascades of lyrical cliches and musical ideas that rarely crest.”

“143 is not a bad album nor is a great album. It’s really mediocre and generic but in a bad way,” another critic claimed.

Katy left her gig as an American Idol judge last year in order to focus on her music comeback.
