CORONATION Street actress Sally Ann Matthews has sparked concern among fans after sharing a worrying late-night tweet.

The soap star appeared to be wallowing in her thoughts after taking to social media platform X just before midnight to share an unclear message.

Sally Ann, who is famous for her role as Jenny Connor on the show, regularly speaks out online and has never been one to hold her tongue on social media.

But she left fans checking up on her after her latest cryptic tweet.

The star simply shared the message: “Yep. I’m defo in denial x.”

It led one concerned follower to ask: “You okay gorgeous lady?”

Someone else went on to add: “Aren’t we all.”

Sally Ann did not respond to any of the comments and hasn’t tweeted since.

Her post comes just weeks after she was hauled into an emergency meeting by furious Coronation Street officials after she was caught spilling show secrets and slamming ITV in a late night rant on Instagram live.

In January, show bosses were left furious after the footage circulated in which Sally claimed the hit ITV soap could no longer afford to film on location, before launching into a tirade about filming off set.

A TV insider said: “It’s not the first time Sally has raised eyebrows with her comments.

“It’s no secret that the budget isn’t what it used to be, but it’s not something that the actors are encouraged to speak about publicly.

“She’s due to go in and meet with bosses and talk about how she is feeling on the soap in the general. She’s clearly not happy and neither are they.”

In the concerning video Sally is seen replying to a fan who asked where she would like to film on location.

She quipped: “We don’t do on location … right … ok so the whole ‘Corrie doesn’t do location any more.’

“Thankfully because I fricking hate being on location – location is s**t – I hate it.

“So I’m glad ITV have got no money – am I allowed to say that Well I have said it.”
