EE/Clair Norris Bids Farewell, as Bernie
“After I read my last script… There were smiles, there were tears, and so many notes,” she wrote, reflecting on the moment.
“My last 4 eps are out this week… Enjoy the rollercoaster.
Bernie is the sole Taylor still in Walford, and her departure was particularly poignant for fans of the show. It brings the end of an era for the Taylor family.
Bernie’s departure is confirmed
“We can confirm that Clair will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish her well,” a spokeswoman said.
The soap has gradually edged its way to Bernie’s departure, suggesting her recent behaviour will drive her out for good. She does so by secretly pilfering money from the Panesars and manipulating their business accounts. With her last episodes just days in the future, all indicators are that this secret will finally burst.
EE/Bernie’s Exit confirmed
Clair Norris looked back at her experience on the programme and admitted it was emotional to leave. “It is upsetting.”
She admitted it just felt like the right moment to leave, especially with the rest of the Taylors already gone from the Square. For more EastEnders spoilers and updates, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
