FIERCE BACKLASH: Emmerdale sparks WAVE of Ofcom complaints with writers really pushing the envelope leaving viewers OUTRAGED

Emmerdale has sparked a wave of Ofcom complaints after Mackenzie Boyd was killed off in a ‘violent and tasteless’ d3ath scene.
John Sugden recently claimed his last victim, which in turn left viewers heartbroken.
The episode, which aired on August 21, saw Mackenzie brutally shot in the back with an arrow.
His harrowing d3ath came after he found out that John had killed Nate Robinson months ago.
In the shocking pre-watershed scenes, John was seen shooting Mackenzie in the back with an arrow, after an argument.
John then hit a helpless Mackenzie over the head with a huge rock, before his body was covered with a sheet and wheeled away into the back of John’s blood-stained van – confirming his d3ath.

Emmerdale has sparked a new wave of Ofcom complaints after a ‘violent and tasteless d3ath’, which aired on August 21
Following the episode, Ofcom data shows 158 complaints were received from viewers.
Fans even took to X to share their thoughts, with some even claiming it was taken too far.
Comments online included: ‘Love Emmerdale but this all seemed a bit much with the violence and the crossbow seemed in bad taste what with the recent real life traged!es.’;
‘The writers have really crossed line bow and arrow after crossbow killings not right.’;
‘Ofcom are about to have a lot of complaints.’;
The younger brother of Moira Barton – who joined the soap in October 2020 – was just another of the victims after John killed Nate Robinson in a shocking twist.
The bloodthirsty murderer went on to kill his ex-fiancee Aidan shortly after he woke up from a coma, and it remains to be seen when his murderous tirade will end.
That comes after Emmerdale was slapped with hundreds of Ofcom complaints after scenes of homophobic abuse.

It comes after Emmerdale was slapped with hundreds of Ofcom complaints after scenes of homophobic abuse involving character Vinny Dingle (pictured)
Viewers of the soap were left sobbing after character Vinny Dingle, played by Bradley Johnson, was brutally beaten before being conned out of money in a recent episode.
In recent scenes, Vinny – who is engaged to a woman – expressed confusion over his sexuality and began speaking to a man who he met on an online support forum.
And in an episode which aired last week, Vinny realised that Mike, the man had been talking to online, actually had a dark ulterior motive and ultimately showed up at Vinny’s house before attacking, blackmailing and stealing from him.
According to The Sun, 279 people contacted Ofcom with concerns over the episode, with the complaints objecting to ‘violent and sexual content before the watershed’.
