THE COMMENTS
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared their disappointment about the anchor missing from their TV screens.
“Where is Gayle and Nate!? I miss them!” one viewer mentioned.
“Missing Gayle King! When she is coming back on air?” another viewer wrote.
“WHERE IS GAYLE KING? Missing on CBS This Morning! No mention of vacation!” a third person said.
THE COWBOY WAY
On Friday, Gayle popped up on Instagram to promote the release of Beyonce’s new album, Cowboy Carter.
She dressed in a bright red western jacket and wore a white cowboy hat.
“[Elle] and [Oprah Daily] share an office space and a love for [Beyonce],” Gayle captioned the post.
“So in celebration of Queen Bey releasing [Cowboy Carter], we asked staff members to go into their closets and give us their own version of cowboy attire.”
“How did we do?” the anchor asked.
GETTING TO WORK ON TIME
In mid-February, Gayle feared missing her CBS Mornings taping due to the Super Bowl.
The U.S. Sun revealed the details of the daunting plan to get out of Sin City and make it to New York City on time.
“Gayle King’s team came up with a daunting but necessary plan B for her to make it in time for CBS Mornings,” an insider close to the situation shared.
The anchor and her crew “left the game at halftime and drove 400 miles to Utah to fly out on a private jet which flew another 2,0000 miles from there to New York City, for her to be able to make it on live TV Monday morning.”
