“Sometimes we were wild,” Jenna admitted.

“Well, you were always wild. You were the wildest,” her mom Laura quipped.

“Were you great? Not really,” she added.

“No, we only got arrested twice,” Jenna laughed.

“That was you. And, I think, was your dad president?” her mom asked.

“Unfortunately, I think he was,” she said with a chuckle.

“You guys gave us, which is a really great gift, is the freedom to make mistakes,” Jenna then said, talking about the upbringing she had.

Her mom then touchingly said: “We didn’t expect y’all to be perfect.”

Fans were quick to comment on the video clip that was shared on Instagram.

‘WILD AND CRAZY DAYS’

“I used to see you at bars and restaurants in Georgetown when we were all in our ‘wild and crazy’ days! I could never imagine the spotlight you had to deal with,” penned one.

“So nice to listen to admission of making mistakes and being able to own up and take responsibility for them. George and Laura done well,” said another.

A third then added: “I remember the headlines and look at you now!”

While a fourth said: “For kids growing up in the spotlight of your dad’s presidency, you did great. Kids will be kids. And look at you now. All is ok.”

And a fifth penned: “I really respect the kind of parents they were to their girls. I think they were incredibly realistic and loving. They gave grace.

“They cared more about their daughters than they care about public impression and opinion, and I think that’s admirable.”

JENNA’S ARRESTS IN THE 00s

Jenna was arrested for possession of alcohol while underage and just one month later she was arrested for having a fake ID in 2001.

As her father became President in 2001, she attended the University of Texas at Austin and took summer classes at New York University.

While there, Jenna and her sister Barbara made headlines when they were both arrested for alcohol-related charges, twice within five weeks.

In April 2001, Jenna was charged with a misdemeanor for possession of alcohol under the age of 21 in Austin.

The following month in May she was then charged with another misdemeanor for attempting to use a fake ID.

Jenna later revealed on Today: “Well, I didn’t actually go to jail, I just was arrested. I wasn’t even arrested, I was never detained.

“I just got a minor in possession of alcohol when I was 20-years-old because I ordered a margarita at Chuy’s with a fake ID.”
