GOOD MORNING BRITAIN IN CHAOS: Details of On-Air SMOKE Incident Force Kate Garraway to ANNOUNCE Temporary Halt to the Show

An interview on Good Morning Britain turned to chaos on Monday as the ITV studio filled with smoke. Presenters Kate Garraway and Adil Ray welcomed former TOWIE star, Joey Essex, but things quickly turned chaotic as he made his way onto the sofa to chat with them.
Giving him an entrance fit for a King, Kate and Adil introduced the reality TV icon as though he was stepping into a boxing ring – to match his latest career venture. As Adil announced: “It’s Joey Essex!” some double doors swung open and they applauded him loudly, while whooping and cheering as he entered the set. He ran to give Kate a hug, but as he did so, the studio began to look a little cloudy as smoke followed him in through the doors. At that point, the presenting team seemed to be none the wiser until Joey took his seat and they began to chat excitedly.

That was the moment that Adil could not see the show’s guest, who was sitting just inches in front of him, for all of the thick smoke surrounding them. He frantically began to waft his arms around in an attempt to disperse the foggy surroundings, but it just wasn’t working.
He sounded panicked as he asked: “Can you still see us, Joey?” That was when Joey began flapping his arms about frantically too, before Adil screamed: “Fire, fire!” Kate exclaimed: “It’s so smokey,” before returning to a more professional stance and cracking on with the interview anyway.
But that wasn’t the end of the chaos, despite the smoke slowly fading back out of the studio. As they chatted about Joey’s new boxing venture, Adil cracked a number of jokes – but they did not hit with fans at home as viewers claimed that Joey appeared to be looking “uncomfortable” and branded the chat as a “car crash”.
Posting to X (formerly Twitter), one fan complained: “#GMB car crash interview. Adil seriously needs to never be on TV again.”
Another added: “From that joke moment I think Joey was really p****d off with how this interview went… Got no words right now… Really awkward to watch #gmb.”
“#gmb Joey Essex is p****d off. Adil overstepped the mark, that was an uncomfortable interview,” someone else echoed.
One more penned: “Adil could be next in the ring! Whatever you think of Joey Essex, he was treated with such a condescending attitude in that interview, it was embarrassing for @GMB.”
