Ben Shephard commented: “I can see, you’ve recently had a diagnosis with your hearing, haven’t you?”

He replied: “Yeah, what happened was, I went to Specsavers as I needed glasses, Sandra kept saying my hearing was down. I’ll be honest, when I really noticed it was when I was driving the car.”

Harry explained that he wasn’t able to hear the clicking of his indicator, which resulted in him leaving it on by mistake.

He added: “It’s dangerous, I thought, ‘Oh my God, my indicators are on.’ Because I couldn’t hear them clicking, now I can hear it. It could’ve caused accidents.”

His wife, Sandra, appeared on the ITV show with him, sharing that she first noticed he had problems with his hearing as she kept having to shout.

She said: “He used to say I was whispering when I wasn’t whispering. Then, if we went out for dinner and there was a group of people, I could sense that he wasn’t hearing the conversation or joining in.”

Asking if the diagnosis has made a difference, Harry replied: “Yeah, it’s been great, much better. You can’t see them. They stick behind your ear now.”

In a video shared by Specsavers, Harry was diagnosed with mild to moderate hearing loss and now wears hearing aids as a result.

Speaking about why he decided to go back onto the show, Harry explained he had fun the first time around.

He added: “I really enjoyed it, everybody in there was lovely, I was lucky they were all nice people.”

This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
