HEART‑WARMING MOMENT: Corrie Legends Embrace In Secret Snap As Katherine Kelly Praises Favourite Former Partner
Coronation Street legend Katherine Kelly has shared a sweet photo with her “favourite” fellow former co-star Julie Hesmondhalgh.

Kelly, who played Becky McDonald on the ITV soap between 2006 and 2012, revealed on Instagram that she had been spending the day with Hesmondhalgh, who starred as Hayley Cropper between 1998 and 2014.
On Corrie, Hayley and other half Roy took Kelly in and helped nurture her from a troubled youth to a kind and caring woman.
The two actors have remained friends since their time on the Cobbles, and judging by Kelly’s Instagram photos, they’ve been doing some voice-over work together.
“A day spent with one of my FAVOURITE human beings deserves a place on the grid @jhesmondhalgh,” Kelly wrote in the caption.

Kelly has been popping up on our screens a lot lately, with both the Paramount+ thriller The Crow Girl and Channel 4 crime drama In Flight, which was co-created by Slow Horses director Adam Randall.
Meanwhile, Hesmondhalgh appeared in last year’s breakout hit series Mr Bates vs the Post Office.
Recently, she opened up about how she moved to London from Accrington to go to drama school, and was given a piece of advice that she flat-out refused to heed.

“I remember a teacher there suggesting that, when I went back home at Christmas, I speak the whole time in RP [Received Pronunciation]. Imagine going back to Accrington and speaking like that!” she said.
“I’d have been lynched. I refused – I just couldn’t [do it]. The way I speak, my accent, is part of who I am and where I am from.”
