There’s two key moments on Coronation Street next week with a comeback as well as a possible exit.

New spoilers for next week’s episodes have teased big events ahead on the ITV soap, with a number of characters taking centre stage. But two key storylines will see events pave the way for a fan favourite’s departure, which is soon to air on the ITV soap.

We’ll also see a blast from the past as a villain makes a surprise comeback, leaving one resident reeling on the ITV soap. It’s safe to say it’s a week of big moments and possibly show-changing events.

Our Mirror soap source teased of the week ahead: “There’s all kinds of chaos unfolding next week. There’s some scenes with a certain someone that definitely pave the way for a very sad exit.

“Whether she goes through with it sooner rather than later, fans will just have to wait and see. As for the return, let’s just say it’s an unwelcome meeting for one character – but what does the returning character have to say? It’s definitely one to watch.”

First off we’ll discuss the return of a sinister character, and it’s just days away. The character in question appeared briefly a year ago, while he debuted on the show in 2022.

But next week he’s back and it certainly leaves one resident reeling. Spoilers have confirmed that Lauren Bolton’s father Reece Bolton, played by actor Scott Anson, is back on the show next week.

Details surrounding his stint have been kept under wraps but it seems he wants to make contact with Lauren, using her baby son Frankie to do so. With Frankie still in hospital after a health scare, Lauren is shocked to receive a mystery package for the tot next week.

She soon realises who it is from and visits her estranged father in prison. The pair come face-to-face after two years, and it’s clear she isn’t happy to see him. But what does Reece want from his daughter, and how long will he be sticking around for?

Our soap source teased: “It’s safe to say Lauren isn’t expecting him to reach out after so long, and she’s worried about what it could mean. Lauren’s finally getting things on track, but given later in the week there’s a joy riding disaster it’s safe to say the meeting with her dad might be rather unsettling.”

Elsewhere, fans will see Christina Boyd and Daisy Midgeley continue to target Jenny Connor, only for things to go too far. With them catfishing her on an app with a fake man named Dom, there’s a shock next week when ‘Dom’ shows up to meet Jenny.

Dom is keen to get Jenny to invest in his business, unaware Christina is after her money. Jenny takes the bait and decides to invest, while Daisy is plotting to flee Weatherfield as soon as she gets the money.

Later on Daisy and Christina are shocked to realise Dom spent the night with Jenny. So when Daniel Osbourne spots Christina and Dom together at the hotel, will he work out their link and what’s really going on with Jenny?

Our soap source teased: “When Daisy realises Jenny is all for investing, she knows it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes out. With that she’s got a huge decision to make, and it could change everything for her and Daniel.

“Daisy feels torn but decides amid the scam that she wants to get out of Weatherfield sooner rather than later. Whether she does leave so hastily, you’ll just have to tune in next week to find out what she’s planning”
