As they played a brief clip, Bjorn can be heard saying, “I spoke to the doctor, and he said, ‘This is really, really bad, but it’s done’. And he said, ‘But you have these sleeping cancer cells in your body.”

“It is going to be a fight in the future, and I hope I am going to be ok, I might be ok, I might not be ok.”

He continued, “So every six months I will test myself. And right now, I did my last test two weeks ago, so I’m okay. I take it day by day, year by year, hopefully. It’s the thing you have to live with.”

After the clip, Charlie Stayt chimed in, “He is an iconic figure in tennis, and we’ll hear more of that interview, where he talked about his life, his career, and now his medical condition and the various problems he’s faced through his life.

“We’ll hear more of that a little later on.”

Bjorn said he was first diagnosed in 2023, and it was an “extremely aggressive” form of cancer, and that it was “at its most advanced stage”.

However, he went on to have an operation in 2024, and Bjorn is now in remission.
