Bianca Censori’s n@ked outfit at the Grammy Awards has raised serious concerns among experts, as worries about her relationship with Kanye West continue to escalate.

It’s understood the model’s loved ones have attempted to step in over the years after witnessing her transformation into Kanye’s ‘puppet.’ Now, their recent scandalous act at the Grammys has set off more alarm bells among psychologists.

At the 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday night, the model left little to the imagination, wearing a completely see-through slip dress, which sparked intense backlash and even risked legal repercussions. Meanwhile, father-of-four Kanye was fully dressed in black – a typical contrast for the pair.

While Ye is fully covered, Bianca often appears in public wearing minimal clothing alongside him, frequently displaying a blank or uneasy facial expression. There are even claims the Yeezy designer dictates what Bianca wears, eats, and when she exercises, imposing a set of stringent rules for his wife to abide by.

The couple’s eye-catching fashion choices have ignited a fiery discussion, but the burning question remains: why does Bianca Censori opt for such revealing attire? Is there cause for concern?

Speaking to The Mirror, Dr Louise Goddard-Crawley, a chartered psychologist, expressed concerns about the potential implications of Bianca’s extreme wardrobe selections. She cautioned, “Bianca Censori’s increasingly revealing outfits have sparked debate, with many questioning whether this is an act of self-expression or something more complex. Reports of Kanye West allegedly imposing ‘rules’ on her, alongside concerns from family and friends, raise the possibility that this is more than just a bold fashion choice.”

Dr Goddard-Crawley elaborated on the psychological aspects that might be influencing the situation, including the potential control Kanye may exert over Bianca.

“If Kanye does have a strong say in how Bianca presents herself, dressing in an extreme way might not be a personal choice but a way to maintain his approval or avoid conflict. It’s common in controlling relationships for one person’s preferences to dictate the other’s behavior, sometimes to the point where their identity changes,” she explained.

The expert added, “Bianca, previously a relatively private architect, is now in a world where controversy equals currency. Hypersexualisation is a fast track to attention, and given how spectacle-driven Kanye’s career has been, it’s possible she is embracing this as part of a new identity.”

She suggested that Bianca could subconsciously feel pressured to become Kanye’s next project. “Kanye has a history of styling and reshaping his partners, with Kim Kardashian famously recalling how he revamped her entire wardrobe. If Bianca sees herself as his latest muse, she may feel pressure – conscious or not – to embody his artistic vision, even if it’s at odds with her past self,” the psychologist said.

However, she also said that there is always the possibility that this is entirely Biancia’s choice. “Some individuals see hypersexualization as empowerment, a way of rejecting societal norms. The question is whether she would be making the same choices if Kanye weren’t in the picture,” Dr Goddard-Crawley explained.

The American rapper has been open about his struggles with mental health, including his diagnosis of bipolar disorder. The psychologist said his behavior has, at times, “reflected patterns of impulsivity, grandiosity, and controversy-traits that can shape relationship dynamics.”

She said, “While mental health conditions don’t inherently lead to controlling behaviour, they can magnify power imbalances, particularly when one person holds significant influence.”

Dr Goddard-Crawley pointed out some alarming signs in their relationship, including reports of Bianca distancing herself from her loved ones, which “can be a sign of an unhealthy dynamic”. She also noted that Bianca’s drastic change in self-presentation “raises questions about autonomy versus influence.”

The psychologist further highlighted Kanye’s history of influencing his partners’ appearances and behaviors, suggesting it’s a “broader pattern rather than an isolated case”.” Dr Goddard-Crawley added, “Bianca’s extreme outfits could be her own choice, a performance for attention, or part of a controlling dynamic. The real question is whether she feels free in these choices – or whether they are shaped by a need to maintain Kanye’s approval. Whether this is self-expression, a strategic move, or something more unsettling, only Bianca truly knows.”

Relationship expert Francine Kaye, author of The Divorce Doctor, also expressed concerns about Bianca’s independence and ability to make personal decisions. She observed that the Australian model exhibited detached body language at the Grammys, raising serious questions about the true reason behind her appearance, and Kanye’s involvement.

Francine commented, “It’s plausible that Censori’s attire at the Grammys was a mix of personal expression and West’s flair for publicity – something they both undeniably achieved. However, what struck me most was how apprehensive and almost detached she appeared during the photography session as if she were physically present but emotionally elsewhere. This raises concerns about her personal comfort and true autonomy in making such a bold ‘fashion’ choice.”

She continued, delving deeper into the implications, “West has faced past allegations of misogynistic attitudes, which adds another layer of discomfort. Was this an empowered statement of self-expression, or was there an element of external pressure?” Francine pointed out the delicate balance, saying there is a “fine line between incredibly brave and incredibly reckless”. She concluded, “In the end, whether people view it as artistic, exploitative, or simply attention-seeking, everyone is talking about them. And ultimately, that may have been the goal all along.”
