HEARTBREAKING: BBC Star Martin Kemp In Hospital After TERRIFYING ACC!DENT — Latest Health Update Leaves Fans On Edge

Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp has reassured fans that he is “a lot better now” after a horrifying chainsaw accident left him with severe injuries to his fingers. The 64 year old musician took to Instagram on Friday October 24 to update his followers, a week after the incident which saw him almost sever his digits in a gruesome mishap at home. In the video, Martin can be seen showing off his bandaged left hand as he tells fans: “Hey guys, just a little message. You might have seen in the papers that I had a terrible accident with a chainsaw, which I did, but it was last week.” He continued: “I’m a lot better now. And just to let you know, if you were worried and you are going to Lincoln Cathedral tonight for the DJ gig, it is still on.”

Despite the ordeal, the pop icon managed to keep his spirits high, laughing as he added: “I will explain how it happened another time, but just to reassure you, I am alright.” He concluded his message by saying: “Lots of love, bye.”
The shocking accident was first revealed by Martin’s son, Roman Kemp, during an episode of his podcast with singer Tom Grennan.
The 32 year old radio presenter admitted he only found out about his father’s accident when the Gold singer sent a picture of his bandaged fingers to the family WhatsApp group, prompting Roman to tell Tom: “Oh God. It’s scary.
“Friday night, I’d just finished work and looked at my phone, and dad sent a picture of his hand with all fingers heavily strapped up. And all he writes underneath in the family WhatsApp group is, ‘Yep … chainsaw’ ..
“I was texting him saying, ‘What?’ but got no reply, and then Harley, my sister, is like, ‘What’s happened?’ but again, no reply.” Martin eventually provided an explanation for the photograph.
Roman continued: “So he said, ‘Oh, there was a bit of the branch that we wanted chopping down, so I went and got a chainsaw.'”.
“Do you know what he said?’I picked it up from the blade and it didn’t have the sheath on it.'”. He said it switched on … he’s picked it up and it’s kicked into gear.”

Roman added that Martin was “lucky not to lose his hand”, saying: “I know a mate who lost a finger through that.”
Roman wished Martin had brought in a professional to handle the garden work rather than wielding the chainsaw himself.
Roman said: “He’s 65. He’s got more than enough dough. Get a professional in, you can’t be doing that.”
