Nik and Eva Speakman took to social media to share a heartbreaking tribute to their friend Jean.
The couple shared a string of photos with her, and said their “hearts are broken” as a result of their loss.
Nik and Eva’s caption read: “Our beautiful Jean…
“Everyone that knows us well, has ever attended one of our full day workshops, or has attended one of our @traumaresearchuk charity balls, will have heard of, know of, or even have had the good fortune of meeting our dearest friends Matthew & Jean.
“Our hearts are broken to have had to say goodbye to Jean. One of the most beautiful, kind, fun, loving friends we have ever known. Thank you Matthew for bringing her into our lives, for the decades of friendship, travels, fun nights out and abundance of fun memories.”
They continued: “We decided a long time ago, that we weren’t just friends, we’re the family we’re able to choose. When we’ve needed an escape, a hug, a kind & none-judgemental ear, reassurance, some sound advice, a good laugh or even hiding & feeding when we were on Celebrity Hunted, Jean was there.
“Her door, her home, her heart, her arms and her friendship were always open to us, and to everyone and anyone who knew her.”
Photos shared by the Speakmans included Jean surrounded by her dogs, as well as photos of the couple with their cherished friend.
They also shared throwback photos from dinners together, to holidays abroad.
How to conquer your fears with the help of This Morning therapists
Eva and Nik finished off their caption by writing: “You loved your sparkles, and now instead of sparkling on us, we know you’ll be sparkling over us, and the love of your life, Matthew.
“Thank you Jeanie for your fierce & relentless support, your loyalty, your love & your friendship. We will be forever grateful to have known you, we will hear your infectious laugh in our best memories, and we will love you for eternity.
“Your friends & family – Nik, Eva, Liv & Hunter xxx.”
Nik and Eva Speakman are a married couple who live with their two children near Rochdale in Greater Manchester.
The pair has studied human behaviour together for over 20 years and run their own therapy business helping people overcome a range of debilitating psychological issues.
The couple use a behaviouristic approach to therapy and have treated people with issues ranging from eating disorders to fears and phobias and self harm.
