A This Morning favourite has opened up about a shocking discovery during a recent scan – and now she’s preparing for a major operation.

A familiar face from This Morning has revealed she is now facing another major health crisis — and fans say their “hearts sank” at the shock announcement. The TV expert, author and life coach, Michelle Elman, confirmed she will need brain surgery after doctors found a new cyst and discovered that crucial equipment inside her head has stopped functioning properly. Michelle, 32, told followers the devastating news in an emotional Instagram update. She wrote: “Yesterday I found out I need another brain surgery. I have a cyst in my brain again and also the magnet in my brain needs replacing.”
The bestselling author lives with hydrocephalus, a condition that causes dangerous fluid build-up around the brain. Left untreated, the increasing pressure can be fatal. Michelle relies on a metal magnet to regulate that flow — and now even that needs replacing. Despite the gravity of the situation, Michelle attempted to steady fans by explaining she will push the procedure to next year if possible.

She said: “It’s not urgent but it is needed so now I have to figure out when to schedule this so it disrupts my life as little as possible.
“Inevitably I will have to pause my life and go deal with this, likelihood it will be next year, but until then it’s business as usual.”
The news is another blow in what has been an extraordinarily tough few years for the “Queen of Boundaries”. Michelle previously revealed she has undergone 15 surgeries, survived a brain tumour, and battled a punctured intestine and obstructed bowels.
And her personal life was rocked earlier this year when she discovered her fiancé had cheated — just hours after proposing. Speaking on This Morning, Michelle recalled the moment a stranger sent her a chilling message.
She said: “He was with me when I got the first message saying ‘Is this person your fiance?’ I thought it was a colleague, like this person knows you, and it took a while to figure out.
“My first reaction was shock. I was shaking and I kept saying, ‘Please tell me first I don’t want to find out from her’.”
In a longer Instagram message, Michelle admitted she hates discussing her medical history publicly because “it turns into a press article and I don’t need that right now.”
However, she added she was determined to be honest with the people who follow her career.
She continued: “I’d much rather have the choice and the authority to decide for myself what I can and can’t do… I’d rather be in pain and live my life than watch my life pass me by again.”
Despite facing yet another operation, the award-winning life coach insisted she is not slowing down until absolutely necessary: “I have lived a great life and really milked every moment I’ve had in this world so can’t complain.”
