HEARTBREAKING: Strictly’s Tess Daly and Claudia WINKLEMAN REAL EXIT REASON ‘Exposed’

Following the shocking news that Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be departing Strictly Come Dancing at the end of the current series, an expert has predicted why they have both suddenly quit their roles. According to PR & Brand Strategist Sophie Rhone from Cupid PR, the double exit of both Tess and Claudia signals more than just a presenter shake-up. Both hosts will step down from their positions at the end of the 2025 season, with no announcement yet on who is expected to replace them. Tess has been presenting the long-running show since it first aired in 2004 and issued an emotional statement on Instagram.
Sophie Rhone, a seasoned PR and brand strategist, has warned there is “a far more volatile narrative in motion.” She has predicted that the double departure suggests coordination and shared risk, rather than isolated personal decisions.

“When two co-hosts step down at the same time — especially from a flagship BBC One show — it’s rarely coincidental,” says Sophie Rhone, founder of Cupid PR.
“My professional antenna is telling me: this isn’t simply about careers or contracts. Something exists behind the scenes — a situation serious enough that both women are choosing to exit before it becomes public.”
One key point that Sophie has speculated is that the “show’s internal rhythm and public-facing messaging hint at an unresolved issue, possibly a matter of reputation or internal conduct.”
Express Online has reached out to the BBC for comment.

Tess Daly has been presenting the BBC show for 21 years and previously hosted alongside the late Bruce Forsyth. Tess and Claudia then made history when they became the first female presenting duo in primetime television.
Claudia also joined the Strictly family in 2004, when she began leading its spin-off show It Takes Two. She later moved over to presenting the main show 10 years ago.
The pair announced the news in a video statement on Tess Daly’s Instagram feed. They said: “We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream. We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.”
