HEARTREAKING NEWS: Loose Women Star Coleen Nolan Reveals Newborn Grandson Was Rushed to Hospital, Leaving the Family Shaken After a Frightening Health Scare

TV star Coleen Nolan has shared the distressing news that her five-week-old grandson was rushed to hospital after developing a high temperature, causing concern for the family.

During her appearance on Loose Women today, Coleen disclosed her family’s anxiety, also mentioning that her son Shane had been battling severe flu and a fever.

The revelation came as the hosts were discussing flu vaccinations, prompting Coleen to share her recent experience with the illness following the birth of Shane nd his girlfriend Kimberley’s baby boy, Cruz-Carter, last month.

The panel touched upon how “the NHS says they are facing the worst-case scenario in the run-up to Christmas”, before Coleen expressed her belief that they aren’t taking the flu seriously enough and admitted she doesn’t usually get the flu jab.

She then characterised the flu as “scary” before revealing she is considering getting the flu jab this year, and went on to describe how her family have been struggling with the illness.

“My son only in the last couple of days’s, it’s hit him and he had a temperature of like 102, and then because they have Cruz who is only 5 weeks old, his temperature started to go up so they rushed him to A&E and then all of a sudden it becomes a reality.”

“Kim, Shane’s partner, she was saying that at A&E it was just packed out with people who were there with the flu.”

Grandmother Coleen celebrated the birth announcement on social media weeks ago, declaring she was “obsessed” with her new grandchild.

Coleen declared: “Just when I thought I had no more love to give , along came you… Cruz-Carter 6lb 6oz. I’m obsessed with you already!”

Shane welcomed his second child, having first become a father back in 2016, and announced the joyful news via his Instagram account.

He posted an adorable photograph of his newborn as he revealed that his partner Kimberley had delivered their baby. He then disclosed that their little boy’s name is Cruz-Carter, writing in his heartwarming post: “Welcome to this crazy world my son.

“Cruz-Carter was born on 13th November at 3am weighing 6lb 6 ounces. Words can’t express the love I have you for you already. I literally can’t stop staring at you.

“As for you @kimberley.s.6 , you are the strongest , bravest woman I know. Thank you for giving me a son, I can’t wait to go through this journey together as a family. I love you.”
